To stop any more misunderstandings, does anyone have, say, a map or a guide to who owns what in terms of mining? It would be most helpful.

Check the nearby bases and the affiliation of the stationary miners already in the field to determine who lays claim.

Assuming your tag/ID match these, you should be OK, tho...unless a pirate happens along:P

But would an indy miner be allowed, if he is friendly to the people who "own" the feild?

Depends on how territorial the corporation is. I believe the independent minefield in Dublin is said to be aggressively patrolled by the IMG. Try initiating some diplomacy with the owning corp to gain access rights.

Good evening Mr. Ojai,

It would appear that you and I had very similar ideas. This presents the opertunity for a joint opperation. I currently have two ships in service, but I still require transports to move the goods. My vessels are currently mining silver in colorado and the other is mining niobium in Tau 23. Please let me know if you have any interest in this offer.

Thanks for your time,
~Joseph McKryzen - CEO of McKryzen Mining Co.

To the Office of Mr. McKyzen, McKryzen Mining CEO.
//(btw, you typo'd one of the versions of your last name, which one is correct?)

We would gladly add to our board of investors, your enterprise,
So long as there can be some compromise to the Naming of the serviced vessels
under the fusion corporation.

Perhaps we can work out these details as needed, however...
Our company does not consist of Transports, we hire them Freelance, mostly...

However company loyal Transporters are likely to get pay raises and trusted further with company matters...

And our mining Ships move with the profits, mostly, so If you can get a proven statement for a continuous Profitable cycle
for the Niobium or Silver Fields worth at least 200$ more per tonne //(Cargo unit) than our present Helium operation, we should be able to
afford the time to make our Expensive mining fleet move there to begin mining for your transports.

I hope you understand this, being a mining company yourself, you know that moving massive equipment is time consuming and extremely expensive.

Sincerely, Miles Ojai
First Founder, Heavy Mining Industries.

Might I acquire as to where you mine your helium and to how much a full load on a miner would sell for?
