Memo to: Shamus
From: JackS

Subject: Operation "Trial Run"

Shamus,

My Raider pulled into the area, and successfully filled the cargo hold with 75 data entries. I then entered the nearby Lewis Jump hole, and was promptly blown the hell out of the sky. It is, unfortunately, the Gaian Guard system.

Not being one to give up easily, I went about repairing my ship, and then tried to recollect my data entries. I was able to get 73, and then the case of Effin Server that I brought with me from Manhattan was calling my name.

Unfortunately, Gaians can't stomach it much. Only 34 of em made it back to Shetland. Personally, I think it tastes great, but the crash is a little harsh. I'll finish this case off, you can have the 34 Gaians that managed to drink it and live, they're probably worth it.

Memo to: All Associates
From: Shamus

Gentlemen,

I'm afraid Jack S. is right. That new "Effing Server" brew is murder. I was pounding the Isley weapons platforms last night myself, and a bottle floated past the bridge. Like an idiot, I tractored it aboard, and the next thing I knew I woke up with a murderous hangover Back on the Shetland! Some 60 prisoners took the opportunity to escape.

I know we'd all like to fill our holds with "data" in one swell foop; but I'd like to suggest that until the manufacturers of this nasty concoction are found and put out of business, we make our collection forays short and sweet. Either that, or register our data by "channel F1" occasionally during the operation.

Until the situation is rectified, all bottles of "Effing Server" are to be destroyed immediately.

Sorry, Lads,

Shamus

Kingpin here, good to be back. I'd been having asscoiates (read: family) over for a drink (read: 2 F*cking weeks) when someone hit me over the head witha bottle, and I woke up in a landcar headed for Bristol.

So, I'm back now, and I'd like to extend a big thanks to everyone who's been working hard over the holidays. I've decided to take some of my embezzeled funds and give each of you a bonus, I'll be working the details out with the First Bank o' Flax shortly.

Operation "Trial Run" looks to be proceeding smoothly, however, it appears that someone out there has liberally distibuted bottles of "Effing Server" around, in the hopes of disturbing our progress. Don't drink it.

The =BSG= appear to be likeable blokes, I think I'll let them stay. Please refrain from smuggling Right under their noses, i think they have irritable sinuses. The Faction Status post will be updated shortly.

Excellent work all round. Kingpin out.

Shamus,

After the hangover from that case of Effin Server wore off, I went out and finished filling the cargo hold with data. I'm hanging out on Shetland for now, and I swear, Blue Sapphire only from now on.

Boss,

Glad to see you're back. Family can be... painful, if you let em hang around too long.

Kingpin Here, I've yet to see one of them, but as long as they're not carrying our normal goods, leave 'em alone.

If they are, tell them to drop it, and them let them eat vacume. I suspest these blokes might come in larger packages than us, so keep a bottle of "Effin Server" handy, for a quick getaway.

Them people at Leeds seem to be hankering after the synth.
I reckon they need a few more cartloads to get over the Phantom attack.

Hey, wanted to drop by and say hullo.

I'm new to the Corporation, and you can call me Yorktown, and now, that's a york-ton, don't pronounce the "ow", like a yankee or you'll be saying it after I'm done with you. (jk)

But, nevertheless, my tag should be: [LD.Inc]Smug.Yorktown

I'll be seeing you mates around London later!

Cheerio!

Memo to: Outrider Yorktown
From: Shamus, VP Sales,

Greeting, mate, and welcome to the ranks. Always good to see a new Associate who knows how to take care of the paperwork as well as run fast!

Kingpin has tasked me with helping you get established. Your bonus has been deposited in your Credit Union account, and will be drawn on as needed to get you set up in your Outrider "office".

Until we contact each other, please work on befriending our affable hosts, the Junkers. As long as ya don't hack the LPI off "too" much, I expect you'll have little trouble acquiring the necessary ID and reputation before we get to work on your Outrider.

Memo to: Kingpin
From: Shamus

Boss,

I think we can safely terminate Operation Trial Run. The data is a little less convincing than I'd hoped, but that is in part due to that bloody beverage those jackanapes at IND were passing about. Had we been able to complete several of the unsuccessful "fact-finding" missions that were interrupted by this foul brew, I believe we would have had ample proof that the proposed contract can be carried off without a hitch.

I recommend we put all the Outriders back on their local rouutes, and that Depot Zephyr be tasked with acquiring a full load from Atka for distribution to the lads at location "F", which seems to be much more central to our lucrative "markets".

I will also stock up my Sales Office while I'm showing our new Associate Yorktown the ropes this evening. As our other "Outcast" product has been found to be readily availabe locally, our wholesale buyers should focus on acquiring and distributing the "Cryer" product.

Regards, and glad to have ya back,
Shamus
