' Wrote:Well, the update downloads fine and dandy. But then when it tries to extract the file, it says "Error extracting file". Yet, when I enter Freelancer, the new update has already been implemented and I can play on the updated server.

I've just shrugged it off as a quirk in the update program.

I got that problem with the previous update, but instead of being able to connect it showed me my version was out of date. Thankfully the error message gives the url where the zip file is located so all I had to do was download and install manually.

This was with a fresh install of FL, with no other mods ever activated apart from 4.85

Laptop and desktop both run XP, both update fine. Freelancer is run with admin rights on both, but should work even without since I have Freelancer installed to a non-default location.

I do believe it also works on my secondary desktop which runs 2k server, though I haven't used or updated it in a while.

Texan_Twang - Texan Bounty Hunter, flies a Bomber, rarely played. Almost wish I could move him to another account and sell him.

Alright, back to my home PC, I think we've talked about this one Cannon...And neither of us had any idea.

So, yeah, even after a fresh install and mod, it keeps crashing on me. (and igiss.net is blocked at home as "Unrated", so I have to wait until Monsay at the earliest to get it D:)
