Memo to Kingpin:

Boss, got your memo. One full B-load the finest just delivered to Cambridge. Receipt at Cambridge noted by one SF bomber, Beta3. They were so nice as to escort me through Cambridge. (Gave 'em a taste.)

Headed north to resupply. The other shoe hasn't dropped yet on that supposed contract. I may have to hand it over to you, King.

Memo to Yorktown:

A bit of the Irish, there for sure, lad. I memoed a memo of your previous memo on your memo about the lack of a door plaque to Mugen. Haven't seen that lad in awhile. Happy to report that you're fully vetted as an Associate Smuggler. I'll send a letter to Kingpin for your jacket under separate cypher.

All Associates: I fully endorse Kingpin's offer and provision of humanitarian aid to Cambridge. If you can spare a load the next trip or two, take it down to ease the suffering.

Shamus

Memo to All
From Yorktown

Ahoy mates.

It's come to my attention that there are now TWO more bobbys running the shows in Sirius. The KTA in Kusari and the SA in Liberty. The KTA won't cause much trouble, but Libety could seriously impede our helping Mary Jane get home to her papa on Manhattan. Same goes for our new super-vitamin/contraceptive.

Now, there's no PvP in Manhattan, but once they find out about our depot in the Shamus system, they are pretty much going to blockade Lone Star from gettin anywhere. We should stock up fo' jus in case the weather gets too cold to walk outside 'round.

I'm going to push for System-Wide ads of our super-vitamin, and get some distracts all over the place.

Now, one last thing. I know that this has not been approved by Kingpin, but I've forwarded our relations with AEGIS. As long as we help them get MOX whenever they need it, them robos will escort us anywhere we want.

Yorktown out.

Memo to Yorktown,

Well, now, Mr. Junior Associate. I do know a few things. That's why they authorized the big office, and the VP sign on the door.

What I don't know, because I must have missed the memo from Corporate, is when a green, week-old Associate got promoted to Management and started making policy decisions for the Firm.

I'll be chatting with Kingpin about the matter very soon. Until then, Yorkie, the keys to my VP Office are with the bartender on Fortaleza. If you'd like to make a big splash in the next LD.Inc newsletter, why don't you bring all those grand ideas and decisions down and try to move in. We'll see who makes the last policy decision.

Memo to: All LD.Inc Management and Associates
From: Shamus

Gentlemen,

It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing the retirement of our beloved Chairman, Kingpin. King has expressed a desire to pursue a few other interests after his retirement; some of which apparently involve a gaudy tub of a luxury liner, which I helped him acquire today. Kingpin will still be available as a consultant. We all wish him well in his new pastimes, whatever they may be.

Kingpin has asked me to assume the Chairmanship of LD.Inc. I have agreed. The necessary paperwork is on file at Corporate Headquarters, which will be moving to Fortaleza from Trafalgar immediately. The buck stops here, gents, so I damn well better be seeing lots of bucks..

On another matter, after long and arduous contract negotiations with our rising star, Mr. Yorktown, it was decided not to kill him. Negotiations were also attended by Yorktown's attorney, one Mr. "Canti". A shyster if ever I saw one. Mr Yorktown has accepted my old position as Vice President of Sales. He is expected to trim the fat, gentelemen. If you're not producing, I would be expecting a memo from him. Or something more personal. If Mr. Yorktown is not producing, he can expect a memo from me.

Associate Mugen, if you would inform the engravers of the changes for our offices, I would appreciate it.

Gentlemen, the people of Cambridge at this moment seem to be very in need of, and very welcoming of, the help we can offer in their time of suffering. I personally delivered a full load of paste to alleviate that suffering, and was treated very cordially by the authorites. Please continue to assist them. Announce your intention and destination immediately upon entering Bret space, and again as you enter the Cambridge system.

Finally, the recent announcement that =BSG= and the ELF wish to claim home systems seems to put the prospects of a contract with them for the "Gaian problem" in a dim light. This may change, but I have not been contacted regarding the matter for some time. Too bad. I miss the julips. And the Pineal augmentation. Hopefully, our Mr. Yorktown can come up with some innovative ideas to compensate for this setback.

Gentlemen, Carpe Dopum
Chairman Shamus

Memo to: All Associates
From: The Chairman

Gentlemen, please join me in welcoming a new Associate, Zodiac, to the Firm. Mr Zodiac will be performing Trafficker duties, and seems to be a very quick learner. He is currently based at Rochester, and is working on the required Junker paperwork. His Credit Union account has a nice balance, and he may only require minimal direction in furnishing his new "Office".

Mr, Yorktown, if you please, I am tasking you with showing Mr. Zodiac our "short" route. If I'm in the area, I will make an appearance to greet our new Associate in person.

Further, Mr. Yorktown, I find the silence deafening. I had assumed that with your new position as VP of Sales that you would have at least acknowledged your promotion and given a word or two of encouragement to the lads in your Division. Did my Pineal tell me a little white lie about your potential and abilities? Awaiting proof that my decision to spare your life was indeed justified.

I have also seen our long-lost Associate Mr. Fowler recently. I'm sure we're all relieved that Fowler is not languishing in some drafty cell somewhere. Welcome back, Fowler.

Mr Yorktown, I would also like you to oversee a survey of our current Associates and their status with London Drugs, Inc. Our beloved CEO Mr. Kinpin needs the information for our Quarterly Sector Tax Report, which he has been a bit remiss in attending to. (Read: Faction Status, King!)

Gentlemen, Ship's Registry has graced my Office with my new title. I'm sure we'll be seeing you frequently on the trade routes. I have changed my Raider's Registry to reflect a new responsibility and direction; but, I will be sure to wave in passing from the "Flaxrunner" as well.

That's it, Gents. No orders from the Board. Direct your Sales issues and inquiries to our new VP. He apparently doesn't have much to do at the moment.

Regards,
Shamus
Chairman, LD.Inc

Sorry about the silence mate, but if Mr. Zodiac is at Rochester right now, I'm sure that I can show him the Fortleza route.

OOC: (My connection has been a little unstable).

Yorktown

Very well, then. I'm relieved that you're fitting in to that nice plush chair. Please disregard the private memo, as you seem to have addressed the "talking points" within.

On another note, I have also had recent communications from our Master of Engraving/Counterfeiting, Associate Mugen. Apparently he tweaked his back recently, and has been unable to sit the long periods needed to do that small, delicate, precise work. Join me in wishing Mugen a speedy recovery and return to work.

Regards,
S
