Actually we never named a price, the buyers offered X amount and we just said yes:)
If it were only up to me you'd only see Order tagged and Id'd Order ships. I mean, that's how most factions would want their ships used, by their faction only.
just a further thought that might need to be kept in mind...
when the zoners cannot deal with an enemy in their conference - they really have quite many fearless destroyers ( that doesnt mean there are many players with it - but it means that there is no RP limit on "how many of them are around" )
the order on the other side is supposed to have FEW carriers and recon cruisers ( i know... i know - practice and theory don t always match ) - so their main backbone for "minor" operations is a gunboat. - the alternative is to move in with a precious osiris.
all i all, i don t see a problem with zoners that just wish to fly it and reason about it with the order.
i will ask for a cargo increase on the dev board and we ll see what the others say about it. - maybe its reasonbela and will be agreed on to give it 1k cargo - maybe not, we ll see.
heh', in Rp there are supposed to be like 4 carriers total and very very few recon cruisers, I think the idea was only 1 or 2. Now Hathors on the other hand, dozens.

So the Zoners designed it, and then SHARED this design with the Order.
Zoners should therefore still be building it.
And also, the whole 'Zoners are neutral so they dont need well armed ships' argument is completely bogus. Neutrality isnt some concrete and self-supporting thing, it needs backup,
In short, they need the capabilities to ward of any possible hegemonic force and to retain control over their own destiny.
More to the point, zoners operate some of the most advanced and extensive research facilities in Sirius. With that kind of talent on tap, why on earth would they build an inferior ship!?
What I would ideally like is for the Conference to get a cargo bay boost (which would actually make it a worthwhile step-up from the Dromedary), and have the Hathor also as a 2nd Zoner (and Order, obviously) gunboat , used more in fleet operations and freeport defence.

Alternately, in addition to a actual replacement for the Dromedary in form of a Conference with usable cargospace... how about a Conference variant - i.e. named Constable - with 1 mine layer, 6 guns and slightly increased powerplant (while having slightly less agility and cargospace en pair with other GBs) designed as an agile defensive gunboat?
The gunboat is of zoner origin yes, but the weapon subsystems are topsecret from Order... not free to buy by every little squater, to take in to house space and reveal the tech...
