Of course, a degree of situational awareness is required. When I had a Xeno and was picking on the locals around the Colorado-NY JH, I was threatened with sanctions because the rogue gs there wasn't wasting me while I was fighting off two falcatas.

So, when in doubt, look around.

Thanks for the reply Dusty. I'll just focus on making the local rep (NAVY/Police & Lib unlawfuls ) be as straight as I can be.

One way to send a clear signal would be of course to apply for XA, but there's a reason I'm hesitant. And no, it's not what you think it is.

It's just that I'd like to keep at least one char anonymous so me dying/messing up a lot does not smudge the faction :rolleyes:But I like the overwhelming odds the Xenos usually have to face. You are drawing a crowd taking shots at you. It just makes you feel special to be in the center of everybody's the attention. But the brief tussels I've had as a xeno are pretty edifying. It surely develops your tactical skills about faing multiple opponents and when it's time to cut your losses and run.

And another reason why I, at least for now, am not applying for XA is that it actually gives me time more to play the char than take care of the auxiliary duties like reporting etc.

But we'll see.

Any helpful tips about Xeno RP and being a Xeno are welcome.

Well, I'm not in the XA anymore, but if you've got any general Xeno questions I might be able to pitch back an answer or two.

Eagle or Roc?

To me common sense says that to keep the foreigners out Roc will do the role of stopping and popping the outsiders easier. On the other hand Eagle is more survivable and more to the spirit of xeno. Which one do you xenos find more useful?

Just out of curiosity. Not planning to make it, but what is the GB available for Xenos? A GB flying as solo is a bad choice to begin with. You can't run in a GB that easily and opposition quickly overwhelms you unless you are really king of the aim being able to quickly dispatch people.

Our ID doesn't allow gunboats.

Go off the XA shiplist for stuff that'll keep you out of the hotseat.

I suggest having one of each.

Suggest going with one of each, not fun taking on transports in a Xeno Eagle. The light plant and the high demand Black Widows place don't make a good combo.

I checked the XA faction post yesterday too. There is no shiplist. Only this helpful list:

Quote:Neutral

Phantoms
Vessels bearing an "IMG" ID
Vessels bearing a "Zoner" ID
Vessels bearing a Universal Shipping ID
Vessels bearing an "Order" ID
Vessels bearing a "Coalition" ID

Oh, so that's why there have been only couple oddball 'xenos' in GBs that I've seen in Liberty. Good to know. I read the ID in a bit of hurry and failed to notice the GB missing in that ship list.

Black Widows really are sucking the core dry quickly. That's why I was thinking that Roc would be able to better support them. Also with Train CD is better suited to the task than mini. Do you guys happen to remember does the Train CD require guard rep?

Thanks. The post and the link are most handy for a quick-starting a Xeno.
