Unpaid bountyhunters?

Allright allright so no blanket bounty on rhineland? I'm pretty sure I can still go round demanding contraband in my little BH bunboat (If I decide to join BH). However, at the moment I stay a freelancer. Remember, for every pirate I piss off, theres one very grateful trader somewhere, though they may not know it. Thats good enough for me. Time to save some lives.

Now... what if I got my trader pilot to place a bounty on all pirate factions who pirated me and my undisclosed friends...? I don't even have to hunt them myself anymore, justice will come to them.

You're not realizing that you're not pissing off the pirate, you're pissing off the PLAYER behind that character when you show up in a gunboat to whore his fighter. Pirates already have to deal with enough lolwuts in Gunboats playing vigilante, they don't need another one.

And that would be a violation of the rules. You can't place a bounty on all pirate factions who pirate you and 'undisclosed friends.' You want to do that, you have to give the names of the ships they pirated. The reason for this is because people would make false claims about people killing characters that never existed just so they can hunt them down in a GB, Cruiser, or Battleship. Furthermore, posting a bounty as one of your characters so you can collect it with your other, Bounty Hunter, character is also a violation of the rules and abuse of the bounty system. You want to go after a pirate, find someone who has a forum-posted bounty on that individual. You can't post that bounty yourself and go collect it with another character.

And why this big vendetta against pirates? You do know that they make about 10% as much cash as the traders they pirate, right? It's not like they're ripping people off here or anything. I understand you've been pirated.. Now do what everyone else has and get over it.

Please, join the help channel. It will tell you all you need to know, without the flames.
Please, don't go around just killing pirates. Pirates and traders are the lifeblood of the server. They are both required for everything else to evolve from. Less of them decreases the overall gameplay for EVERYONE.
