/rests his case

If you spam mines dont go around in a 360, or you are more then likely to hit your own mines.

Avoid mines:
Keep on strafing while turning, when mines are in the air, dont do the EK turn for too long, if you know a mine is ahead of you.
If you have passed it already, then you can use the EK turn without danger.
If lots of mines are floating, strafe into the direction you turn, then you can even pass the mines on a really close range.
(Lags help the mines, so you may hit one here and then)

Hitting with mines:
Depends.
As Tenancity already said, right before you pass the enemy ship. When you bump into it, you can also drop one.

DO NOT USE THE BUMPING-MINE, WHE YOUR SHIELDS ARE DOWN!
Reason: if the enemy launches also a mine, you end up with two dead targets, or one with really no hull left. Its luck who takes less damage due to the distance to the second mine.

When the enemy has a CD and uses it often, never drop mines predictable or frequently.
Also drop the mines, when you already passed the ship, or when a CD hit you already.
The CD refirerate gives you a spot to drop one.

Minetraps:
Basically 1 to 3 mines floating around, getting blown up with a CD.
Mainly used for missed mines, when they are between the two fighters.
Let the enemy come close to the mines and use the CD to blow them up.

drop mines, drop mines:D

I drop a maximum of 30 of them in a 1v1 fight, but I mostly hit my target with his own mine, cause all my VHFs but one have a TCD (I'm definitively bad at razors)

I can sign this. If you are aware of the mine usage, either avoiding or trying to hit with them, it comes down to luck mostly who dies and who does not.

The worst thing you can do with every tactic is to be predictable. So change your style in a fight. Mines are nice that they give you versatility in a fight if you seem to be unable to hit with your weapons or missiles.

Flying under radar.

At some point I'm going to put together a few videos on how to use certain things. I'm thinking of getting Enojado to do the masterclass on how to use nukemines.

I tend to drop them just after I've early-turned, so I have my rear end pointing towards the opponent. Sounds dumb I know, but your own ship masks the fact there is a nuke waiting for them. Note... Only do that with your shield -up-.

I use Screamers to drop transport or GB shields. They are particularly useful to bring the shields down again once they have regenerated.
On my HFs I use Nuke mines to kill Transport hulls while pirating, it works like a charm.
In fighter vs. fighter combat, I can second what Malexa said.
