Thanks for pointing this out Tensdale, personally i think the information revealed here should lead to a a change in wiki policy towards posting commodity prices. As Tensdale is not a regular wiki contributor I dont really think this is one he could have fixed himself and do to this thread it is shown that only certain admins could really fix this with the current system.
I actually trade according to the company roleplay. So I surely won't base off my route of exporting commodity A to highest selling place and then looking for something there. What happened to calculated risk and good display of cunning?
Also, if you say that since I took all that in account I am trading for maximum profit then it turns to smartassing:P

Well, you're not. What you've described is the highest profit per run, which doesn't account for the fact that some runs take up to 40 minutes, while others take only 5. Profit seeking behavior would involve compensating for that, and following more of an interest in cr/sec or credits/hour. You maximize that, or you're a poor businessman. Of course, everything fits into one level of rp restrictions or another...
Am I correct in assuming that the ingame messages on the trade routes tab do not correctly reflect these changes? At least, not until you land on the bases again, after the change has been made?
Actually I think that when you find a commodity and look to where it's highest sold it is updated, you don't have to land there again to comfirm the price.
As for the trade runs, I take more than few variables in account. While Kishiro's most profitable route could be Plutonium to Pennsylvania it is the route where you can plan to lose 2-5 million in one way on piracy. So while some people can be masters of FLcompanion, that won't help them much unless they know the real situation out there.
Well, sorry, but I prefer actually roleplaying over mindlessly spamming F2 (or "discovering", ie, mindlessly spamming F2, setting custom waypoints and looking at ingame lists). Thank you.
Don't misunderstand me, I really like the idea behind this: having more variation and a slightly more dynamic economy. I also understand that trading is a necessary evil. Still, I'm extremely happy that I don't really have to trade thanks to my bounty hunting endeavors and strongly believe that trading shouldn't be any more of a mindless chore than it already is. Encourage RP, not looking at lists ingame or solospamming F2.
David (mwerte)]the only commodities that are hooked are:
A) Ores
B) Bugged commodities (producing uber routes, ect)
C) Event commodities (which are usually announced)
