Crap.. Again this thread.
I voted for friendly, Corsairs and Order are supporting each other in Omicrons largely, with resources, technology or spreading anti-infection devices to Corsair allies.
Order are supporting artifacts trade routes, and corsairs are sharing profits in turn.
Profits are going into recruiting men to Order, resources and bribery.
Also, Order controls all active artifacts in this way (through scanning devices), that prevents humanity from wide-spread infection.
Also, due to terms of alliance between 'Sairs and Order, 'Sairs are training Order agents and helping them to hold Nomads in Omicrons.

Bundshuch alliance is too weak to create it, Bundshuch are revoltionares, not regulary organisation. Maybe friendly.
Rheinland Military is destroying more vessels of Order, then hailing them. I've seen already 6 Order gunboats within Rheinland ( I"m bored of them )
Blood Dragons.. That's like dream. Everyone wants Dragons in their alliance. But Kusari is the most friendly House to Order. No need to ruin this nice relation. it's supported by Corsairs and Hogosha. Yes, we can move Dragons to 'friendly', but not allied.

I'm bored of this thread. Dragons are DREAM. You may love it, but don't mess them, revolutionares, with military organisation like Order

Common Enemies =/= Alliance

The Corsairs will continue to attack Nomads, BHG, and Liberty ships without the alliance, and both sides have gotten enough tech and shipbuilding resources out of the deal to continue without each other. The Order should return to its vanilla alliances with the Rhienlanders and Dragons.

This is also my point of view.

I presume he meant Outcasts rather than Liberty, though it's not that rare to see a Corsair gunboat in Liberty...

Anyways, the alliance just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Neutral-friendly sounds much better.

I was thinking of LSF who wander into Delta. The Order as far as I know is neutral to Outcasts.

You said that Corsairs will continue to attack Nomads, BHG and Liberty ships.

The Order has no reason to attack the BHG, AFAIK. Just to fend off whatever is sent at it - fact is, even if they defeat the BHG Core, Liberty will send more mercenaries out. Nor does the Order have any real reason to attack Liberty forces. It's entirely possible for them to have a peaceful encounter - not all of the Navy/LSF believe the Order is composed of terrorists, for a start.

But that's kinda getting sidetracked.

1: No
2: No
3: No

1: Between omicron minor and gamma, you have Delta and Kappa. Both ar crawling with nomads. And BHG. Order and Corasirs will be automaitcally fighting side by side, repairing at the same bases. Thats effectively already an alliance against BHG and Nomads, wether you call it like that or not. And you say they have 'enough tech and building resources'. What is 'enough'? More you allies you got, more resources you got. The Order gains the way of passage and shieldbuster guns, the Corsairs gain by strengthening someone who fights their enemies north of them, and the contacts and influence of the ORder in the 'informal sector'.

2: In Vanilla, the Blood dragons were pirates who were fighting the Kusari gouvenment, like they are now. But then, the Kusari government was INFECTED with nomads. Thats the only reason they helped each other. Now, Kusari government is FIGHTING the nomad wilde. If Order allies with dragons, they would be indirectly HELPING the nomads. Duh?

2: In Vanilla, the Bunschu were pirates who were fighting the Rheinland gouvenment, like they are now. But then, the Rheinland government was INFECTED with nomads. Thats the only reason they helped each other. Now, Rheinland government is FIGHTING the nomad wilde. If Order allies with Bundhscu, they would be indirectly HELPING the nomads. Duh?

In all of this what you always see is: devide people in 'good' or 'bad' and just continue like the vanilla SP was. The whole situation with nomads has changed, and this black and white view of faction RP is really superficial and boring. There can be crooks in Order, there can be 'good guys' in Corsairs. And when you make alliances, THINK who they are actually fighting and who benefits an alliance, dont just try to make SP nostalgia. The order always communicated with individuals in the pirate factions, not the factions as a whole. And what the pirates did in SP were favours, not alliances.

Ok... seems to me this thread exists because some Corsairs are pissed that they cant fly Osirises?
The reasons for that are simple: it would totally screw up the RP atmoshpere. If everyone flew ships that dont belong to their faction, and that dont conform to the CHARACTER of their faction, it would take the 'soul' out of that faction.
Furthermore, different ship designs are different because they aqre adapted to the builders resource availability and also to hte funciton that ship should fullfill. And those are, simply put, very different for Order (all-out covert, guerrilia warfare of an organisation that exists only for war) and Corsairs (a civilisation that relies and piracy, defending their homeworld, and also has 'prestiege' motivations for their leaders)
