My indie Core isn't touching house militaries or corporations with a barge pole, no matter where they are. That is a security matter on the house military and corporation's part, nothing to do with the Hunters.

Dusty has it right, Bounty Hunters work for the Guild.
Hence, Bounty Hunters do not take bounties against other house lawfuls.

If you collected on that Kusari transport and he moaned to the Kusari lawfuls about it, it'd definately go under review and not be passed off as "Oh well, he was asking for it anyway".

Actually, there's a topic on this on the KNF forums.
And some nice screenshots ...

Yeah, well...

Ummm...

Seems that there has now been a serious shooting incident in Shikoku between the KNF and the Bounty Hunters Guild.

So while Dusty may have been making comments as an interested party regarding things - as one of the BHG| Guildmasters, I can state that as of right now (and until things settle down) - we're in a little shooting war. Lawful or not - so independant hunters, please go have a field day in Bretonia, and BHG| pilots, get your fighters and bombers up to Shikoku - we have a base to defend.

It's rather a good twist, I find.
Every day, it seems already I find bounty hunters around Kusari, being shot.

Wow that comment was very inaccurate and unhelpful.
If the BHG choose to take contracts against house forces they should not think that their bases would remain in one piece for very long.
Think about it, you become enemies of the lawful factions while still being hunted by the unlawful factions.
There is literally no where for you to go anymore.
No Bounty Hunters should refrain from any action against lawful factions if they want their bases and landing rights to remain open to them in that house any longer.

Hypothetical scenario.

KNF pilot has a bounty on his head a la Bretonia.
KNF pilot attacks BHG.
KNF dies in battle.

Can BHG claim that bounty?

I think what is required is a bit of plausible deniability. The guild wouldn't have got where it is without it.

Well I think the guild got where it is from taking bounties on pirates, not by attacking houses.
Plausible deniability is what happens when you attack one ship outside of sensor range of any of their NPCs, Bases and allies.
But if even one escapes then you have a problem that the guild has to deal with, if this happens maybe even two or three times then expect heavy sanctions from the house in question.
The hunters operate in house space by working with the various houses, not by attacking them.

That is my point, exactly. Yes, we do work closely with the various houses. We do, however, have our own agenda. And since we are a guild, some of our members may have agendas of their own which they shadow beneath the broad umbrella of our glorious organisation.
