After the event is finished, sure.. During the event, no.

I think the stakes are too high. People are going to be going Q_Q over this, especially if a pirate decides to hold them and make them sit there and role-play.

Maybe more prizes instead of a few high-value ones are in order?

I read this, though about how I'll make people sing X-mas carols to me. Then saw 10:00 AM GMT and facepalmed.
Ahh well... Good luck to the paticipants:)

That's been a fear in my heart for a while, actually.
I hate high-stakes things like that... stuff can get nasty. Like mining.

But it's Christmas.
Hopefully everyone will be able to get past that for once.

In fact, that's what I want for my Christmas present.

Its an event, not a giveaway.
The playing field is equal for all participants.

You kindda don't risk anything, nor need to invest funds or anything else in participating. Except your time and willingness to enjoy a good once only roleplaying event where you actually can profit from participating. There are 10 prizes for the participants, 2 prizes for the roaming pirates and lawfulls who might want to play along with the event, and 1 extra prize that will be given at random among the participants and pirates/lawfulls who have been playing along the event.
Besides the 900K cr and the traders ID that all the signed up participants are getting completely gratis.
So pray tell me, what are those stakes you are talking about that is to high, in order to participate in the event ?

I felt it would be nice to have an event where it wasn't a question of meeting at some point in space to blast the bejeesus out of each other, but have an event where you could explore a bit and interact with other players. As well as in the spirit of the festive season, let the participants in the event have a chance of profitting from the event.

Please don't tell me that the Sirius Grinch was right in warning me not to do this.

Psst. Can the time moved somewhat to 12-13 GMT? >_>

Or something like dis, I don't wanna miss the thing out completely. Someone else may drop by at that time too, I think.

If you get killed, or get held up for too long and you think that you can win from that, just don't QQ. Either continue and try your best, or leave that character, delete him (after transferring the funds you didn't use to another character ^^) and then play on another character as if you weren't even in the event.
