I say get rid of the Big Dragon and put this model in instead.
Then you might say the Big Dragon is a Gas Miner / Transport or something to that effect.


But, that's just my opinion, so...
This is a nice ship, hands down. Head is a little funny, but I think it will be pretty cool after getting used to it.

It's all like "RAWR IMA EAT YOU UP GAS OM NOM NOM"

Why do you think that Kisiro/Samura or whoever would pay the builders to put that Dragon Head there? They are corporations avid for money and power. They won't pay designers and builders to do that thing.

Let's discuss about the present days. Show me an offshore platform with bling-blings on it. If you can show me just one, then you got my full support for this mining-ship. Otherwise... I suggest you get rid of that head.

Look at the wings they have, the roofs, everything like that.

Kusarians aren't afraid to spend an extra buck on making their ships look better than the rest of Sirius.

my original concept looked different...

no head, no pagode like temple bridge but instead a non-discript-design ... a design one might suspect to be used by a company that focusses on money.

but the head was asked for specificly - and it also makes sense in a way.

a spaceship of that size is not only a tool. - it is also a presigous object much more than just some holographic advertisment .... and freelancer doesn t even have those in space.

such a rich and expensive design may be much more expensive to build and terribly expensive to maintain.... but the gain might still outweigh the costs. it speaks of a great self confidence - and it tells business partners that there is a company that is strong enough to believe in showing what it can do and what it has.

its a bit like a managers car. - certainly it needs to be safe... - but one could drive around in some ugly but very safe and easy to maintain no-name car. - managers prefer to show off a bit, too though... .

this is a mining facility - a full processing plant, not just a ship. - the captain might easily be the plant manager, - a higher ranking official of kishiro - and the ship is his way to tell the common miner in his ugly hegemon: "look at my ship, it does the same yours is doing... but not only can i spend my evenings in a bubble bath in the stone garden, but i can also make you turn jealous by simply looking at my ship"

The head is way too huge. The actual concept is -fine-. But yeah, it looks more than a battering ram for space fortress' than anything else right now.

is my 2 year old daughter's opinion.

I don't agree with her on the dragon head being too small, but I do agree on her opinion that it overall looks pretty good. I also liked her point on not knowing what you're talking about that the Hogosha can't afford it seeing as how they are practically made of money. Like she says, they don't necessarily need it, but they sure could afford it.
