I started my character. Literally two seconds later, when I was still docked on Erie, I got an in-RP PM from someone I'd met on the forums. I've been RPing nonstop since that moment.

Well, I was probably about 2 months before the [\JG/] adopted me and turned me into something respectable, but I just went with the next best thing and settled on a month. 'Cause it certainly wasn't a year. And no, I didn't even respect RP at the time. I was a total lolwut.

And by that, I mean I was flying an Order Talon (yes, the old sexy model) recruiting for the LSF.

Took me around a month or so to get used to the whole RP thing, since I haven't had much experience.

I'm not entirely sure, though I don't think things were more than a few weeks before I was on the right track. That's when I joined the NLH and LWB, and then Marburg and BaconSoda made sure things were all good. Yay for them!

I had a fairly rough start for certain. I started playing with my friend Suralin back in June of 08, our first characters being Outcasts.

We spent a fair deal of time hanging around the 101st and RoS and some other indies, Kusari and the Sigmas being our primary stomping grounds as we, well, Outcast'd around I guess.

About two months in or so I'd say we got bored of that, so we decided to go and make our own faction, The Neo Terran Front, in late October, which at the time was just me, Suralin, and Vrouw.

In about December everything went to hell, resulting in my taking a four month break from disco and coming back in April and... well, I think you know the rest.

Point is, I tried (and I would argue that I suceeded) in making a faction with little to no prior knowledge of how things even worked around here.

Edit: One thing I left out, I already had a pretty strong grasp on roleplay beforehand and had played the SP campaign.

I was playing fl from 2004. Firstly in pvp servers likely Colors elite UK a bit in void. Well that was kinda fun for me. But then avnil - microsoft contract ended and global server was shut down I ended up playin fl online.

Somehow after a year and and a half I dicided to check for some info about freelancer. I found out that few servers still works. Hamburg city and Discovery RP. Since disco had bigger player count I went to disco. For pew pew.


First months there pure lolwuttery and lolpirating. Heh, but somehow I attracted OPG attention and became a memeber of them. I'm still greatful for OPG making of me atleast decently roleplaying player.

I never really flew around lolwutting or anything, but that's because I'm not new to RP. Of course, I had to learn what was going on at first, but after a couple of days, I got up to speed, flew around with the RM a couple of times.

I did my best to learn a bit about what had happened before I joined, so I dug in the forums and I can say I'm quite familiar with the factions at the moment.
