revealing or not.... as im in taus/omnicrons most of my time im principally against it due to Q_Q levels aready being legendary high.... and the lolwuttery even higher now that ICMG is strutting their caps... (ICMG brought out a zephyr when i had a duel in my trident, one on one with a hydra. Hydra even had better armour then me)

so yeh.... "indy" colonials.... and you can kiss this server goodnight, permanently.... or... you will find that tau 23/37 will not exist for much longer

I just realized something... If capital ships were taken away from the IMG, and the CR ID was made open, all the IMG Guard capital ships would switch over to CR.

We certainly couldn't have that.

There is another difference between Colonial Remnant, Liberty Navy, Nomads, Phantoms, SCRA.

Navy and Nomads was invented by Microsoft (except for a few expansions on discovery), the others more or less developped by the individual factions (ok the phantoms didnt develop their ship models themselves, but they arent part of the orriginal freelancer).

As far as I know Doom made a lot of the CR/IMG ships (correct me if Im mistaken) and the whole CR thing was brought into discovery by the efforts of individuals inside CR. And its only understandable that those people that developed the stuff and had a lot of trials and tribulations to get the thing running as is dont want some people to take theri stuff and screw it all up. What is an Indy? Its a guy that wont obey orders and say " you cant command me!". If you say thats not true... CR is one of the easiest factions to join. They take noobs and teach them rules, pvp, and RP. They literally take them off your back and make better players out of them. Once you got indies that feel no obligation to follow advice. All that will go away. That will mess up the Taus up totally. Both CR and all their neighbors will bleed from it.

If you compare that with nomads... they are Microsaoft Freelancer, the arent Discovery (except for a few new ships). You could easily restrain their ZOI and make them open. You say indies will mess it up? Less so than they will mess up CR. Before you force CR to be open, force the nomads to be open.

That's disturbingly wrong.

Sorry in advance i just read the first 2 page's .
So i could say stuff that has already been said.

Oke here i go.

CR is CR if you like it or not .
The CR ID was made for CR members not indie's.
There was once said the reason WHY the ID could be bought/Rep made to make the work lighter on the Admins, to add remove Id's from current and future members.

Now what IF you work your ass off for let's say 3 to 5 years to build your own faction,
Do everything yourself(faction) write the RP all of it from A to Z.
And after all that hard work, Some ppl wish to fly your tag without joining your faction.
Oke i aint saying all Indie's are bad but come on who hassent seen a Lulwut indie abusing a ID for a ship,
just to shoot ppl.

CR is build by it's members, Some even dedicate so much time they have little game time left.
We started from scratch and we build it up by it's members to what we have now.
If you wish to use a CR ID you have to join CR the Faction.
After all the work some of the members put into building it.
I don't wish to see any bad stuff about it.
Yeah every faction has it's flaws it's not how you judge them it's how you handle them.

So if you claim CR has it's lulwuts Fine send screens to Atreidas or any other higher rankt member,
And it will be dealt with.(there's some post somewhere with our ranks and ship name's )

And i don't claim other Factions dont put into the effort,
Not at all i know many members love their own faction and put in the time.

But making the CR ID open to everyone is like you making a Million and every one who wishes a piece can claim it Because the Bank prints the money and you didnt print it yourself.

yeah weird way to explain it i know,
But thats how i feel about it,

Last thing from me,
IF you open CR ID to every one, so should Keeper,Phantom,Terrorist ID be and any other ID with restrictions, And that wont happen we all know that so why open up the CR ID?

Because some wish it?
So i wish a Terrorist ID with BS i aint getting it because i want it right?
No I got to prove myself worthy,
So why let every one fly a CR ID and BS or whatever because they wish it?

You wish a CR ID/CR IFF join the Faction.

Now agree or disagree with me,
Im a long serving member of CR and i wish no one who put this much effort into building something,
This fate.

If i dont respond PM me i get lost in the massive amounts of posts here ..............

That's all i'm going to say on this thread since it has taken a turn to nowhere.
Even Bob is a nugget now and he is experimenting the delights and trainings of a Colonial.

That needed to be said, and its right.

Nomads are a part of Freelancer just like the LN. Nomads arent Treewyrm's or the Keepers' invention, they are a Microsoft invention. Dispite of what people will try to make you believe.

And it is perfectly possible to have open nomads and keep them inside their ZOI of Omicrons and in the wilde systems. That would also fix a lot of other ballance issues with the Order. Just the people who are in the keepers dont want that. They want to go all over Sirius and be allowed to blow up anything, and have overpowered ships, which you cant do if you allowed indies.

Don't derail the thread into discussions on the Nomad, Terrorist, or Phantom policies. This ain't the place to go dissing any of them since none of them are here complaining about us in the first place, nor do random people have the power to tell them what to do. Discuss, sure, it's a free server(in this aspect, at least), but no aggression, plox.

Anywho, really, until such a time when things in general would change, We™ are not in favor of Colonial indies. We™ are somewhat in favor of the things I already wrote in my previous posts here, such as that squadron thing, though that also isn't some sure deal, but a free-for-all deal ain't arriving, as far as We™ are concerned.

Now, mwerte, our statements about intellectual ownership and such weren't directed against the mod itself but random people who think they're entitled to anything they come upon. And just like I'm not jerking into the SCRA or the Phantoms about their IDs being closed down, though, admittedly, yes, the Phantom ID has a lot of abuse space and therefore has the most reason to be restricted, so I expect people not to randomly jerk into the workings of our ID.
I'm not telling people to back off or else, but am merely trying to convey the point of the matter, which is that the Colonial Remnant should and does have a lot of say in matters pertaining to the Colonial Remnant.

Unless Igiss'd want our faction to become free-for-all, without any restrictions(Note here that we don't mind people getting the ID without being in the faction IF they're proven Good People™), it really won't happen, until things in general change.

So, as the post began, so it ends, in the same spirit.

Yet another who think he's better because he's in a faction. This kind of comments makes me want to shoot a Bazooka at you. Let me correct you , an indy is someone that don't feel like joining all the bullsh*t that beeing part of a faction. It is someone who wants to have fun by himself or with a group of friends, yet, staying out of a faction. Yes some break rules, some break rules inside of factions aswell.

He wasn't being elitist, actually consider what an Independent is - someone who is independent of any command structure unless the faction uses their faction rights and comes down hard on him.

If you're going to obey orders and follow commands, what do you need the freedom of being an indie for?
