7 Zephyr's, 10 Argus and 6 Hydras just throwing razors at Cali >.<
Some like the oc indies.. (last one was 2 Ranseurs and 2 Sarissas)..
Plus the indie miners do have some pirating rage issues.
Which isn't nice.

Why not just make a new ID? Independent Colonial ID... allowed ships: Fighters, freighters, transports and gunboats (So you dont get too many lolwuttish Zephyrs and arguses..)

i wasn't trying to be nice, why bother when this didn't start nice...and i wont be any better regarding this matter...i said in same post how this should have been done...everything faction related must be dealt with faction leaders and admin approval...just cause you want something it wont be done...just cause you like some idea it doesn't guarantee it will become real...

So... discuss this with CR leaders, admin and dev team and we can take it from there...this thread wont change anything apart what it had been done.


EDIT:
Oh and yes i forgot...CR has its own companies just like any house....miners, traders, weapon dealers etc....so if any additional IDs would be made companies this would be good way to start...just like any other house it could have companies, police, military IDs....civilian ID is generic and it can be worn with any tag, so technically one could wear colonial tag and civ ID, or freelancer ID...Colonial tag can be made trough IMG missions....naturally cooperation with CR could be required as well as regarding them as legitimate force (same as house police or military)....
If done right i dont think that nor admins or CR would object much...

This lower paragraph of Doom™'s sounds awfully interesting, gotta say. Referring to the ID's parts. I dare say that anyone remotely promising RP-wise would be allowed to do one of these things after talking about it with a head honcho™, so knock yourselves out if you wanna do something, be it a civilian, corporative, mercenary auxiliary force, or any other kind of plausible RP.
There've already been examples of corporations and merc. companies. One such corporation, for example, was granted permission to fly under the Colonial banner and govern itself completely (the members also didn't have to have military chars if I remember), just as long as they followed the law.
Inactivity gobbled them up though.

Well i am going to respond to the character issue.

I actually have things set in place (Monetary Aid). For those who pass the trial period and cannot afford thier first fighter. So don't think we leave you without a paddle. I also (Think) Colonial five our bank still loans members cash for vessels such as the transport. (Those have to be paid back).

Overall, I have about five =CR= chars.

Let me tell you now the minimum requirement for =CR= is one nyx so for those worrying we aint newbie friendly don't worry.

Anyways back to the topic at hand. I originally was thinking what doom said but I had been asked not to be overly harsh.

Honestly alot of our leadership group (Quorum) have thier skype on thier account. This could have been easily solved by dropping any of us a line. I infact would have responded better to such an action, than i have done to this one.

Doom has infact said all i would have really said if not for me being told to 'be nice' on this thread. So i find anything further i would say would be repeating someone else.

In some says, I agree with the OP. The ID SHOULD be unrestricted to those other players who wish to RP as a Colonial. An RP being built on by the community could make the RP even larger than it already is. As it stands, the =CR= have a LOT of power in the Tau's and even on up towards the border of Tau-37 and Alpha.

However, playing devils advocate here, at the same time this is a fine fine line to walk. Reason being, is that those people who are allowed to get the ID as indies, might turn into those guard indies you see in New York and Omicron Alpha. Lolwutting morons whom I love to turn into scrap with my AI, [Nemesis]. If the =CR= have a way of controlling these idiots if they unrestrict their ID, then I say go for it. Otherwise, leave it restricted so that their RP remains fully in their control.

Well, as Doom said up there, you can just take a Civilian ID and a Colonial IFF, and RP a Colonial civilian to your heart's content.
