Lets go play RTW online and we can talk about flanking.

In FL there is no such thing as battle stratagy or tactic. Only common sense what ship should be used against what.

For example: a Kusari dessie should be used, versus swarms of gallian bombers who have no idea what cd is ment for. Versus battleships. Versus other cruissers.

Say all you want about the GRN GB, I went in and took out 5-7 KNF bombers at a time with it before I would finally get worn down. If not for infinite respawns that would have done a lot of damage.

Yes it's big, but it's got a huge power plant and it's very agile. I'm in love with it.

Other than that I spent most of my time in a small group of three to four GRN bombers killing the "invincible" KNF dessies by the dozen until we ran out of regens and cd's, and the rest of my time in a KNF dessie doing the same to Valors. I got into some arguments with Valor captains who seemed to think the reason they were dying to dessies so badly was the ship itself, rather than a totally horrible armament on the Valors that was completely useless against the small and agile Kusari craft.

I disagree with you. When a bunch of valors are lined up, you do not charge your dessies straight into them. You draw their attention with a BS or two, and attack from the side (flanking) with dessies. Off-axis means you use some of the enemy ships as cover against others, plus you aren't staring down the barrels of all their guns.

Very true, tactics are far more important than people think. The Valor, for example, is very weak from underneath. Stay underneath it and you'll tear it to shreads. That is called tactics.

Hawkwings is also correct, if you flank a line of them, they'll all get in each others way when they try and return fire. If you're in a good formation with your own ships, you'll take down several of them before they can respond.

Another very important tactic is coordination your fire between multiple ships. What a waste when three bombers all fire their SNAC at once and all hit the shield at the exact same time as it pops up wasting three torpedoes. Now if they had coordinated their fire, two of those torpedoes would have hit the hull.

Tactics are, and always will be, VERY important.

I shot them. It seemed to work fairly well.

I would often hide behind a GRN cruiser when a Valor was shooting me. I'm fairly certain that at least one GRN cruiser took a mortar that was meant for me. :)

I joined the server and made a KNF Chimmie, but then checked the numbers and decided to ask first before jumping in.

I had the most fun in the GRN GB- I loaded it with pulse and razors...so against fighters I was pretty useless....But I took down a few Dessies....Most effective was working with a bomber...taking down the shileds and then letting the Bomber Snac it...while I recharged for Razor+forward Gun Salvo....

I died alot...but had fun being cannon fodder....

Teamwork and combined firepower always wins it.

Well first I decided to try out the GRN cruiser. I died twice in it before I changed to a GRN Bomber. Then for the rest of the time I was on the server, I shot stuff with my bomber.

At one point another bomber (I think it was Baconsoda) and I were fighting 5 or so KNF Dessies, which slowly started to build my dislike of the KNF Dessie xD

Step 1. Respawn as a GRN Battleship.

Step 2. Sell the battleship for a Gunboat. There we go! Cap8 gunboat.

Step 3. Engage some KNF.

Step 4. Die.

Step 5. Respawn.

Step 6. Do step 3, 4 and 5 again, again and again.
