looks like a solid model - although it appears to be quite dark - so i cannot really tell. - its shape is quite straight forward, not too creative but well done and well proportioned from what i can see.

skinning appears to be fine - but i cannot see many windows or exciting details on it.

the shape looks like a modern FL design... if it was meant to be civilian - you may have tried using more utility / civilian skins though - instead of military navy skins.... but thats a matter of taste.



can we expect you do submit that or will it only become a render for a signature...

- the front looks really nice
- the middle section is somewhat uninspired, but OK
- the rear is strange - i don t quite agree with the engine design - it doesn t fit to the rest of the ship, cause its a split design - whereas the ships mainframe is a solid single body.
- the section between the front - and the middle looks a little long ( you know, the part that connects the bridge stuff and the stuff at the nose of the ship the ripples of whatever they are )
- the total lack of windows make it hard to scale - as the shape itself is rather abstract and doesn t provide much to think of a size.

Yeah, I haven't made a window texture yet. I will probably work on one soon and put the windows in.

Thank you for the wonderful criticism, I have my own problems with the engine sections, if you had any pointers on how you would do it I might be able to incorporate them. I tried several different ones but settled on that split engine design in the end. I still have problems with it myself when looking at it.

I also would love to get more of my ships in game and not just on signatures, but as you know doing everything for them is very difficult and I don't always have time to do it.

Also the textures are not from any freelancer files currently.

DarkStriker can you submit that ship as heavy support transport ship? Little Bigger on size then BWT and PTransp with around 10 guns, good hull stats and many bots and bats- but with not much cargo - max 1500. Something like second word war Q-ship to be used as escort convoy ship. I know that we have Ctransps but they are not so effective agaist pirates due their big cargo hold.
Ship with less cargo and more space for weapons and bigger power core is needed nowadays a lot. There are more and more pirates and the Traders post Q_Q topics everyday. With such a ship they could have less profit for more security.
The idea is around sometime ago but till now nobody has made a proper ship model for this. I will post some links:

Those tubes on the front give me the idea of a very long range standoff weaponry. Maybe a frigate or cruiser size, with very limited turrets but a cluster of long range torpedoes, to offer siege support to battleship fights.

And despite the "blocky" look of some parts that screams Rheinland, the overall shape tells me Liberty. Maybe a LSF special project.

EDIT: another option, it could be a picket ship. Limited weaponry, but faster than other ships of its size and top-of-the-notch sensors, to perform deep space patrols. This way, it could be able to spot enemy incursors (or pirate gunboats on tradelane blockades) before being spotted itself, but lack of firepower would require it to call for someone else to do the pewpew, thus rebalancing the sensor advantage.

It looks like a very refined Halo-esque vessel, I'll say that. It does look built for war, maybe its meant to be an armed deep space research vessel. Like Liberty would build for the Edge Worlds.

Well, the problem with a "Hgih defence low cargo" transport, is that generally, they end up with too little defence -and- too little cargo, but thats the fault of the balance devs. Ctrans arent effective because they are -huge-, not because of any hold issues. They hold their own against equally huge opponents. I would suggest the Size of a Ptran/Rouge cruiser, a ton of weaponry, but, say.... a Lower hold space.

As for the model itself, those are fine textures, and should fit nicely. The Engines are a bt weird, but they work. The front end is nice, but the middle is a bit bland. All in all though, it would be a nice ship.
