There -is- a Cylon fighter in the game, called the Marauder. Looks like a pancake, with a powerplant to match.
If you tried flying one against a Viper, it'd get shredded before you could blink.
Not to be negative, or anything.

Thanks, and after looking at it's stats I believe you. I wouldnt mind having weaker ships than the CR, I would want this faction to be based on RP more than PvP, because obviously we would need to prove to people that our RP could work in Disco.
Personally though, I'd take Discovery RP and the Cylon idea and merge them.
Oddly enough, Sirius Robotics might be of interest in that general idea.
Robots that develop so much, they rebel etc.
Who knows, could be fun.
Well thing is, our reasons for doing this is not cause it is the cylons or cause it is from a tv show or whatever. It is because the concept is very fascinating and offers a lot, and I mean a lot of potential.
And it's not conventional FL roleplay.. so what. Half of what is done is not 100% purebread vanilla RP.

Whatever happened to the Harvesters? Weren't them the official 'toasters' of Disco? Seriously, the concept of synthetic life behind the Harvesters is a very interesting one. How about making a spin-off of that instead?
The Harvesters still are here, just not that active atm. I do see a few ingame on occasion though.
And the reason why not harvesterey RP, and my fascination with this, is the fact that it is a blend of human/AI RP, i.e. the so called "skinjobs".
Offers just so much, it has a lot of potential.
Also, to reveal just a bit, we do not plan to follow the bsg canon or things like that, it is the concept we are after. Also, it will not be focused on the colonials, but it's interests in general.

There was a group a while ago that was essentially doing just that. Melding machine and humans together to get the best of both.
Humans that have the capability of machines, and the control over themselves to be as cold and calculating as they want.
