all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.

There was a model for this a while ago. As I recall it was submitted, but then the dev who was working on it disappeared without passing it on to anyone, and the modeller has also disappeared.

If anyone should have frigates it should be house militarys.

Designs based on the house styles, but with great arcs like the camara.

Hardmount only solaris and GB missles.

Give it 170 thrust (it can escape caps, and snubs escape it slower).

Give it good agility, but paper armor.

It will only be good for antisnubcraft, mostly operating in groups to deal with snubcraf swarms and otherwise screen capitals from bombers and fighters.

Give it only transport sheilds.

Against GB and heavier, it will be quite useless and die quickly.

Against bombers in large numbers it will also die, although it will turn good enough to force bombers to close in to kill it, as it can evade or shoot down novas as well as the bombers that are forced to close to use the SNAC.

Prehaps give it multiple CD slots, allowing it to mount multiple CDs to intercept torpedos.

Prehaps even hardmount a point defense missle system on it isntead of multiple CDs. This system will have a higher than normal ammo capacity (IE: higher than 70) as well as a good rate of fire. The missles it fires will do minimal damage, but enough that several hits can detonate a nova, or cap missles, further reinforcing it's defenseve role.

Ashes that ship was too sick, when i saw it, it had 11 guns or so and 2 snac mounts, one on each side. Frikkin pirate destroyer with tons of cargo:)

I still think it's a good idea.

Cos transport vs transport combat just sounds.....well, laaaame.

I'm gonna jump in and say we should call it a Brig, or Brigandine, "which from now on shal be referred to as the Brig". Good ole fashine poirit ship designed for lubber trubbin and booty luggin.
