You are forgetting one thing, though. Since both factions are using NPCs as ZOI guidelines, this particular mention is mute, because unlike the Taus LR npcs, NY Does have OC npcs.

I am not making any further comments on this, but I thought I would point this out as it is lore related.

Realy strange, that OCs comming to Liberty, just to pirat there... There are miners in taus, Kusari to pirate (just take some GBs with you to spit BD who already hates OCs. :P ), Sigmas, Not sure about Gallia. Indep. words for the end.
But for those Outcasts, who spending much time in Liberty, working together with LR, helping them sometimes... Why not to let them rob some traders, together with LR? Sometimes, even just for fun. As wingman in raiding party consisted manly from LR.

We do operate with certain random independent Outcasts, ones that happen to be useful to the Rogues at
the particular time. Ones that even gain our trust and we give them permissions to operate in Liberty. We give certain indy pirates the same grace. But these allowances are gifted by Rogues for various reasons.

Usually as it is a passing OC in a snub who happens to be on vacation down here, which is not a problem.

It's when that vacationer turns into a muppet and as Del said, brings lawfuls camping our bases.

There is a difference between OC NPC here defending trade routes and 'pirating' goods they see on their travels, compared to sitting on a lane and causing our lawfuls grief who then come and give Rogues grief.

And all of you that don't have a smuggler, don't have an OC or LR character, what in your right mind thinks you actually have anything to say on the matter? You're none of the affected parties and are just here to be a prat. You're 'concerns' are mearly digs trying to find bites. It's unneeded and unwelcome.

And for the record, I am following previous faction leaders of the LR- in keeping this LR- faction rule (Note, this is not a server rule as some of you insinuate) of shooing troublesome OC out. You can bag on me for this faction rule all you like, I don't really care. But I am Rogue leader, and I like the idea of my faction, the official Rogue faction, protecting it's interests and ZoI from unneeded problems.

I still think it's weird that OCs are not allowed to engage piracy in Liberty. Some of the famalias don't own a cardimine field and piracy is their mean to create income. Oh well, good thing that I don't have any character of neither side. :laugh:

On this note, no one has ever tried to RP with the Rogues through the forums to ask if they can come play in our back yard. You all assume you can just wander on over and take a dump in our homes. We've never said you can't befriend us and work with us. We've just said OC indies can't come and be a pain in our behind on their own accord.

I have found Outcast NPCs at the tradelane between Westpoint and California Jump Gate, same with the tradelane to Texas. I have found them all around California especially the Magellan and Cortez Jump Gates. I have found them in Texas as well. Haven't seen them in Colorado though, nor Ontario. However, to say they're not active is a bit of a stretch.

You realise of course, that Ontario is a Discovery system, and Del quite explicitly mentioned that he was speaking about vanilla patrols in the start of his sentence?


More on topic, seems that people are more worried about losing the most active area to make money pirating, then actually about any sort of viable roleplay issues.

Well not really, I think. The Rogues haven't been keen on OC's pirating in their house for a looong time, and with the OC being exempt from recent Rogue hostilities (when they are not pirating in Liberty), there is basically no change in the OC-Rogue standing. Rogue concerns over OC piracy in Liberty has been voiced before on several occations I believe.

It is exactly like it was before, except for the fact that some Rogues and OC might be more tempted to open fire on each other now in the light of Rogue statements, and something might happen on the basis of that. Also with the Rogues now being able to pirate in parts of Kusari, tension between OC's Kusari and Liberty allies might arise, which could make for some interesting events too.

All in all I think what the Rogues are pulling is a positive thing, both for Liberty pirates and lawfuls (and for the general RP of the area) as long as OC's and Rogues keep treating each other with respect, and it seems like that will still be the case as long as one party doesnt step on the other's toes. When banging the war drums hostile rhetorics will escalate, but when reading what Del says it seems like there are no reason to believe that it will result in any actual change in the OC-Rogue standing.
