Turret mode ship movement control.
More choice in ship enhancement upgrades (shield enhancers, agility enhancers etc)
Remove armour upgrades for cruisers and below.

Seers or Game masters is something that i would agree (thx Dusty and Arvg, excellent ideas), but the implementation would have to be heavily drawn out and tested.

The fleeing rule? Meh. I think there isn't a good enough way to make this work, since it has to be balanced. Thus, it is as it is. Yes, some good battle opportunities are lost, but all in all, it balances out against abuses.

Custom stuff... Mrawr. Engines, skins and stuff for fighters/bombers.. Gods. Dreamy stuff. And just the idea makes FOAM to appear everywhere. I mean. How awesome would be that? To provide a set of skins for mercs, pirates, etc? Or even upload a MAT file that would only change as in putting a certain symbol etc and with the right codes, to change it? Dreamy stuff..
But.
For the little that i've saw of FL way of coding and working, i think MAT goes with CMP hand to hand in the ini files, so it would mean a bucket load of entries to provide all the choices for a certain faction/player.

A dynamic economy or start the trade events like we had when .85 first came out.

Lessen the penalty for fleeing from combat. Perhaps 1 or 2 hours. Maybe even bring back the rule where you could re-enter the system once the person that you were fighting has left.

Buff to fighter weapon damage or speed to make them effective when escorting caps or transports.

microupdates that would allow the dynamic developments in the Sirius, according to the current RP. for example, gradual expansion of galic forces, every month or two the next step... It would be very interesting and would add some freshness to the mod. other servers may follow, or remain on the main version.

Dockable carriers and more variety in ship choise. More boats, yeeeha.

also

- Nerf thrusters. So fighter can fly on top speed only few seconds and then recharge engines 2 times longer on "top" thruster.
- Nerf fighter armors, to 2x maximum
- Remove MR
- Lower the bot\bat amount on fighters\bombers like .. 2, 3 times, so it will be ~40 bots maximum on haviest once.
- Nerf nucklear mines to ~7500 damage, Ripper to 5500



- Nerf mining to be significant less profitable then trade lane trading so we can have lanes full of traders again, not 32492394823904823904 miners.

If this were factionlancer it would all be better.

Give factions better equipment. Allow more factions per npc faction.

Make faction participation obligatory or provide strong incentives.

People will be noobs much shorter if they are forced to play with more experienced people, and if you impose less restrictions on creating factions you can join the ones that have the people you like in it too.


Oh and: remove npcs or make them all Mk1

the installment of a small team of "game masters" / "dungeon masters" - who are

- not representatives of a lobby / peergroup / tight friendship network
- independent ( as in not depending on official decisions, bound on factions etc )
- objective ( not having turned up making snide, troll-like remarks at others, having kept a level head etc. )
- innovative/creative ( in terms of events and story twists )
- REMOVABLE ( in contrast to admins or mods - the community should be able to demote them if they don t turn out to be as good as expected after a petition that would be reviewed with utter transparency to the community )


since cannon only asked for "one" thing - that is the one thing. ( not sure why - but it appears most ppl think that "one" thing to change includes a multitude of things )
