Apologies in advance for sounding pessimistic.

Although game-masters/seers is a great idea.

The requirements most of you have put up for them... seems pretty unrealistic to me on a long-term basis.

Ok, I will just spit it out and be completely honest. The requirements you have put up for them is not even displayed in the admin-team as a whole (sometimes yes, but not enough). That is however only my opinion.

I'm however, all up for testing it. But I would be amused to see how fast it would degrade into something similar of Faction Leaders handing out technology and in what ways they are persuaded to do so.

Anyways, once again just my opinion, no need to get all angry about it. You are free to test it out and all... either this or more Admins that can remove the workload of the current team needs to be done. Something about management of Discovery is far more important than an insignificant balance change or a trivial rule amendment that fixes only a specific set of situations. When we are talking one change, we need to think big.

My one change would be:

Allow any player or group of players to create their own faction/ID and then control reputations with respect to other groups of players. Player factions could build bases and control NPCs. Admittedly this idea might take a little bit of work and I'm not sure it is a good idea for discovery.

I'd change people's attitudes. If only it was as simple as opening an ini file and editing a couple numbers.

If everyone here had a friendly attitude instead of trying to one up each other all the time, this would be a nicer place for all of us. Then we wouldn't need all of the rules and restricions imposed on us.

My One Change: Add Faction Bomber Guns and Turrets. Simply adding a clone of each major faction's Fighter Guns with Bomber Balance point of view. Like, 300ms Plasma 2.00s for LN, RM and GRN. A 350ms EMP 4.00 with more DPS and a refire 5.00 EMP Turret for Sairs, a Bomber Inferno for Outcasts, etc.

Sadly true...many are overly competitive and tend to yell and insult people when things don't go their way...so uncool. Also, although it isn't mandatory, people could roleplay a lot more. I'm horrified when I see people trading, trading, trading and nothing else...they don't even say hi....again..seriously uncool

To be honest, the only thing I could really ask for in the mod itself is more variety in Supernova-ish weapons. House varieties, with different weapon types would be really nice. Otherwise, I think we're doing pretty well.
