This doesn't look much like a fighter to me, more like a gunboat or gunship or even freighter.

The main problem is that its body is too bulky.

Ignore the haters, Dart. That ship has character, which many lack. It may be a bit big for a fighter, but not too much. Either way, it's beautiful to my eyes. If disco doesn't want it, I can think of a place that would.
