So no. I wouldn't easily "accept" it. But I can't stop you from trying it.
We have supposed in RP furries, so why not have the ability to destroy a system with just a wave of your hand? The crap in both scenarios is pretty much the same amount.

There is an exception. You can't have a ghost. :rtfm:
Is there not a topic in this forum people won't go troll? No? Fine. Anyway, naturally the person would have a MAJOR drawback. Also, I gave up the idea of magic, I decided to go with cryokinesis. It would manifest in the person having cold blood, almost like a lizard, except it wouldn't affect them much.
Sucks to be a weight on the wrong side of the brilliance-insanity scale.
We do have lore in terms of close-proximity (almost touch range) mind reading, and the Nomads have a mindshare. I personally do not allow other people to assign actions for my own characters. IE "telekinetically I push the cruise engine controls and you fly off" I'd answer with a "your attempts to mindcontrol my ship backfires somehow - and fries your weapon systems".
When RPing these kinds of abilities, check oorply beforehand if the party you're RPing them with will accept them - since there's no basis for them to exist in the Freelancer world. If the other peeps accept it? Great, no problem. If not? Too bad, you're playing the wrong kind of RPG. (As said before, Sci-Fi, not fantasy).

sci-fi, not fantasy. however, check out 'The Reality Dysfunction' by Peter F. Hamilton. weird scifi novel where telepathy, hyperacuity, etc are covered by implants, and telekinesis arises when an alien race composed of energy interrupts a satanic ritual.... as i said, weird.
and the furries should be euthanised....painfully. make them eat dried go-cat until they promise to rp as humans!
i counter mental powers by simply haveiung a very strong willpower in jimmy so it ends up becomeing more trouble then its worth, with minor implants for medical reasons and suich
