Quote:Hogosha!

Hogosha (again)!

Hogosha MPC use the CSV fromt he Junkers, vanilla like, and they kick out all the junkers, this, when finsihsed could be a good replacement, as the Hogosha base-ship, it looks kusarian and still a lot like the junker ship.

Ok the hogosha have the black dragon, but that could be a farmers ship as well, with something like this and collector stats on it, kusari would get a new class of ships, and ad some diversaty.
Model Feedback = State your opinion about the model. Not who might be the owner of it. This is about design and flaws, not stats.
If you want to have diversity in Kusari, let this beauty be civilian. Your Hogoshas can use them, too, as well as every trader.

So. Imho.

From front view the ship looks just awesome. Even if looks like it have a skirt.
From side view it resembles a little bit the Wolfhound.
From back and top the ship don't look so well.
And from the perspective views the bottom section is too fat.

But as I said, from front it I love it. The cockpit is a nice work too.

@Ashes

Now how could you see that? Would be nice if you could elobarate further on that one. Another thing is I messed a little bit around with the model and discovered something I found to be rather strange:

With edge faces on one does not notice but without them it almost seems like there is no connection between several parts of the modell. Now is that what you were noticing cockpit-wise or if not, what the heck?

So now I have a "mythical cave dragon with a skirt". Amazing. :lol:But I am glad you like the model so far.

Be a good Hogosha ship in my opinion. Redefine those lateral wings so they are swept back so it goes with the flow of the ship and you would have a ringer.

Isn't the Dragonfly an import?

Hell, I say we get working on replacing the Kiith Somtaaw SHF..

While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack

The Firefly is an import. I don't think this ship is meant to replace that, though. This is more clearly meant to be some sort of Kusari-ish freighter, while the Firefly is supposed to be a somewhat Bretonian mid-bulk transport.

This model itself is pretty nice. Kind of "weird" looking, but it could still fit in, I guess. Makes me wonder how the Anki's replacement is coming. Renzu's supposed to be Kusari-ish, but this design doesn't quite fit in with what Luis has shown us of his Renzu-work already.

Also, if that bubble-thing on the front is supposed to be the cockpit, that's either a rather small cockpit or a rather large freighter.

Well yes. I am still in the phase of "what the hell I am actually doing here". The cockpit was only a quick try in how to do such a thing anyway. So the size of it and of the complete model itsel is - of course - discussible.

Firefly is one of the imports I like. Hell yeah it's import. Hell yeah it looks like a pregnant duck.

But hell

It's Serenity!

It does have some minor gemetry issues, but I'm not seeing anything too major there. Like Ashes said, the cockpit should be connected, however I've always made the glass itself an extra component.

Design wise it's looking a little too simple, you could cut off some uneeded polygons and invest them in actual detail, such as smoothing the thing up a bit to give a sleeker, more Kusari esque feel, and adding in-set bits here and there (Doors? It's a freighter afterall). The overall shape I'm a fan of. Looks good, just needs more detail and some of the hard edges cut off here and there.

I really would like to know a few things referring to what you can see in this screen. 3dsmax seems to seperate the model visually. Now why is that and how can I avoid it in the future?

Even when rendered it stings out quit a bit, but would something like this have a effect on a model ingame? If someone please could elaborate further on this on I would be very thankful. Free cockies anyone?:P
