We should keep the old versions of the ships and show them as "previous designs" on the ship's wiki page. This way people can see the current design and what it formerly was.

Only update them with 4.86 ships once 4.86 is out.

' Wrote:I agree with Chris on that one, while I have no problems keeping these files for now on the wiki, I think that they should not be added to their respective pages right now, except maybe like Chris suggested, as a link at the bottom of the page.

The wiki is for the current edition of the mod, having the the render from 4.86 as the main picture would be IMHO, a bad thing to do, since someone would go on the wiki, see a model that does not exist in the current release, and then complaint that wiki is inaccurate.
Even if we say that pic is from 4.86, and that its not yet released, I am pretty sure some people who do not know what these ships look like would like to see what it looks like in the current version of the mod.

Adding a second picture in the template is IMHO, not a good idea, as there would simply be too much stuff in the template.

This.

Make it like this one and add a note that the picture at the top is not the current model.

Thanks for all the input, I read all the comments here and updated the pages. Both versions are there, following the style of the page that Jansen linked. In the future, I think it will be a good idea to save older models and put them in a media section as well to show the evolution of the ship (at least for custom models, no need to show off import models that have been replaced)

I also won't deny that the posts from some people (e.g. Blodo, n00bl3t, Trackpad.User, Alex) carried more weight than others, because they have all constructively edited significant portions of the wiki.

Some say that he's a CIA experiment that went wrong, and that he only eats cheese. All we know is that he's not The Stig - he's The Stig's American cousin.
