It depends in my eyes.

1: People have barge and are use it for lats say the military vehicles to tau 31 then from edinburg vips.
the id shows like smugler . think this could be a valid barge wich get used for power trading and not looking at the RP thats should have come with it

2: People have barge and are use it for lats say the military vehicles to tau 31 then from edinburg vips.
It has a Spa and cruise id with matching iff, With on forum aproved license to get those military vehicles.
think this is still power trading but then all is arenged : Right is for vips : forum lisence to move Military vehicles. still power tradeing but allowd

Quote:No one talks about that Corsair make Outcast lose time and again and so Outcast-Players lose motivation and noone wants to play it or Hessians and all theyr "allied friends" rape Miners so intense in Omega7 and Omega 11 that noone is mining there anymore realy (atleast noone in Omega 11 and only few in Omega7).

Pardon?
Wow, things HAVE changed since I last played here.
Corsairs winning in Alpha?
Thats new.
Hessians and their allies?
I suggest you look to the RM's foreign policy for that particular fiasco.

As for powertraders and your definition of them, I disagree whole heartedly.
The detremental definition of a powertrader isn't someone in a big ship doing the same run for big bucks.
As has been stated earlier, he's the one that doesn't talk or if he does says straight off the bat "How much?".
He's the one that doesn't want to interact except by running or shooting and running with no other form of interaction.
By that action alone, he is detremental to RP. The size of his ship, like his manhood, should he have one is largely irrelevant. Suffice to say, it will be the biggest he can afford at the time.

A powertrader is someone who trades for creds as fast as possible. Some are good RP'ers, some bad. Sadly, both are labelled with the same title despite being worlds apart.
The bad ones are a blight on the server, the good ones an asset to the server. Burn the first type and enjoy the latter.

I trade high-profit smuggling routes in a BWT (One of the biggest ships a Smuggler ID can get). The ship's captain has experience and knows some good smuggling routes, plus a degree in Economics from Cambridge.
I don't consider it powertrading. I do RP when I have an obligation to, or sometimes when I just feel like it. If I'm stopped by the police while carryig something illegal, I will RP with them, smae for pirates as long as they're reasonable. I do this mostly to fund potential RP projects I may/may not do, but really I'm just here to have fun.
Some people have a problem with that.
Seriously.
It's just a game.

I know this will be unpopular, but when i am mining/trading i do not care about rp much, i engage in it from time to time with passing players but i never stop to do it, my motive is to make credits so that i can buy what i want, and then i rp with that, trading is only means to reach the goal, pirates are nuisance, but they are necessary, because if there were no them, there would be no job for lawfuls, i saw this on PTC, it is very boring when you patrol for hours and there is not a single pirate to fight, you get the impression that you are wasting your time.

I saw you walking down the streat, your eyes, your lips, your nose, everything was so perfect. I started singing "who let the dogs out."

Now this is image I received from people who worked for me. What is wrong with powertrading is when you stop one he doesn't want to roleplay. He wants to get killed so he can continue making his money.

Other thing that is wrong with powertrading is that people don't think about consequences of their character inRP.

Such as
Quote:[18.05.2011 16:49:42] [IND]Tillerman: I'll just fly into the sun

So yeah, its not fun to meet a powertraders, but its like space "piñata" , if you shoot it, it drops money.

That is by far the most strage thing I seen. Regular players doing "shoot me" is meh. But if that is trully [IND], then the questions is, why is invite only faction, that is supposed to control its advantages by restricting membership delivers such things ?

EDIT: However I do not see those persons on IND's rollcall. I suppose either their identity is hiddem from public or they are fake members.

the problem is not power trading but power traders...
IE the diff is that I power trade all the time.. you can not but do so in barge..
and with the second barge we will be doing a lot of trading...

What I love about my trading is that we RP.. no matter what...
I hate those that state a demand and refuse to RP anything but that demand

Pirates do that all the time...
it gives the Good RPers a bad name.. and the LaneHackers are the worse ones about followed by some of the Junkers.. (not the collectors0

I have seen many power traders go to --kill me.. as your talking a mil or two replacement rather then the 5 mil the pirate demands and refuses to negotiate or RP...

so its not the Power trading that's the issue.. its the lack of RP on both sides...

I barge is capable of making 30-100mil a run.. if I am not power trading --check my load-- Why am I going to pay 40 mil on a load not worth 30 mil when sold??? or only cost me 5 mil?? as for 10 mil and you might get it....

even when running the trains I got the same issues.. it leave a bad taste in your mouth when a pirate says give me 10 mil or die.. then if you try and bargain -- says no --die...

now the load cost me 1 mil -- will make 8 mil... why am I paying 10 mil? --Pirates need to learn the prices of whats being carried. Oh and when its a true RP run... yea.. I take even less on it..why am I paying??

now ask for 3 or 4 mil and you got it...
so Pirates too need to learn to RP.. not just power traders
