Project "Reiwa" "Amaterasu"-class Liner, modified. Status:Phase III, Finalised
No outside parties will be made aware of the plans or construction. Workers and hired contractors will sign an agreement that prevents them from revealing information about the vessel to outsiders.
Primary Objective:
The latest Project for Kure Shipyard, labelled "Reiwa" is of uncommon nature to the Naval Forces. A joint venture between the Imperial Diet and the Naval Forces Headquarters, Project "Reiwa" aims to to transform an "Amaterasu"-class Luxury Liner into the preeminent vessel for diplomatic missions conducted by the Empire's highest representatives.
The Amaterasu-class Luxury Liner, Samura Industries latest breakthrough in luxury ship building, quickly became renowned for its opulence and extravagance throughout the colonies - rendering it the ideal vessel to project Kusari's values and status whenever it arrives in foreign space.
While it possesses formidable armaments and heavy armor, it falls short in terms of the advanced internal security measures required to safeguard the Empire's elite, a flaw to be corrected through this very project.
Development phases:
Phase I: Acquisition of an "Amaterasu"-class from Samura Industries. Concluded with funds provided by the Imperial Diet.
Phase II: Provision of external armament. The vessel was successfully outfitted with standard Naval Forces equipment due to near flawless compatibility attributed to Samura Industries great thoughtfulness.
Phase III: Installation of various additional security measures and general modifications: Security measures have been installed as of March 834 A.S..
78x "Sanitizer"-class Kishiro built Automated Non-Lethal Stun Guns
4x Private Quarters to receive last-generation quantum field generators as anti-surveillance barrier.
Full replacement of all biometric scanners with KOI standard versions.
Full conversion of lower deck B-3, section 1-5 into a field hospital for emergencies.
Due to security concerns, all additional security features will be assembled/produced locally at Kure Shipyard. Therefore, the following materials to be delivered by the respective Keiretsu are required:
Energy Field Equipment - 20.000 standard units
Medical Equipment - 15.000 standard units
Nanocapacitors - 10.000 standard units
Optronics - 15.000 standard units
Pharmaceuticals - 5.000 standard units
Quantum Multiplexors - 7.500 standard units
Superconductors - 10.000 standard units
Robotics - 15.000 standard units
Phase IV: Customization efforts. Customizations of the IKN-Reiwa interior and hangar bay have concluded December 834 A.S. after prolonged delay due to shifting priorities.
Phase V: Installation of KOI provided KJX-3 Jump Drive and Ikiryō-class Cloaking Device. Status: ETA 2 weeks until completion. - Ichigaya Drydocks succeeded in adapting the KJX-3 to the internal framework provided by the "Amaterasu"-class, however strains on the KOIs capabilities following recent incidents leaves no choice but to contact the Keiretsu for aid in acquiring and installing a Cloaking Device. An alternative device was acquired through quick aid by Kishiro subsidiary Ionic Incorporated.
Project "Reiwa" "Amaterasu"-class Liner, modified. Status:Phase IV, Finalised
No outside parties will be made aware of the plans or construction. Workers and hired contractors will sign an agreement that prevents them from revealing information about the vessel to outsiders.
Phase III Status:
Following the swift aid of Senkaku Regional Development, a Samura Industries subsidiary, all required materials arrived at Kure Shipyard four months ago. With the Nagasaki modernization efforts and the simultaneous mothballing of the Sado, Kure shipwrights could offer infrequent attention to the Reiwa only. With the highly sensitive security measures in place, further modifications will be sourced to one of the civil shipyards. Phase III is hereby concluded.
Phase IV:
All three two civil shipyards of Kusari will be contacted about their current capabilities and available timeslots. The most time efficient offer will be taken. The Reiwa will be transferred from Kure Shipyard to the designated shipyard. -> Concluded. Samura's Yokohama Shipyard possesses free capabilities.
Further modifications to be installed there are:
Expansion of its fighter craft docking bay to accommodate an additional vessel.
Estimated required materials:
2,500x Hull Panels
5,000x Industrial Materials
5,000x Robotics
2,500x Copper
2,500x Niobium
2,500x Molybdenum
Custom tailoring of the private quarters as per instructions of government officials.
Estimated required materials:
No outside parties will be made aware of the plans or construction. Workers and hired contractors will sign an agreement that prevents them from revealing information about the vessel to outsiders.
Phase IV Status:
Following the categorization of cargo lists and careful installment of the various security and sub-systems on board of Kure Shipyard and the subsequent fine tuning and late stage modifications conducted at Yokohama Shipyard, the procurement of armament has also been concluded through standard Naval Forces issued equipment. Phase IV is therefore concluded.
Phase V:
With almost a year in delays and reschedules, the IKN-Reiwa is virtually ready for its departure from the drydocks. Upon request of the Prime Ministry and the Shogunate, the vessel will be sent to Ichigaya Drydocks to receive further modifications in the form of an experimental type KJX-3 Jump Drive and a refitted Ikiryō-class cloaking device originally designed for Tokugawa-class hulls within the first week of 835 AS where it will remain for at least one week.
February 835 A.S. amendment: The Office of Intelligence managed to secure a timeslot for the IKN-Reiwa and successfully adapted the KJX-3 Jump Drive intended for usage on modern Tokugawa-class Battleships to operate nominally and correctly interact with the vessels dual powerplants. However, the recent Omicron Mu campaign and the failures related to the IKN-Niyodo retrieval shifted priorities. Ichigaya Drydock and the KOI are no longer capable of aiding Project Reiwa. A suitable alternative for the Ikiryō-class cloaking device needs to be obtained through Keiretsu hands. Ionic Incorporated, a Kishiro subsidiary, and Musashi Innovations are legally approved cloaking device manufacturers and may prove sufficient to finalize Project Reiwa. 06.03.835: Phase V conclusion is to be expected within the next two weeks following swift assistance by Ionic Incorporated.
Conclusive Statement: Preparations for the IKN-Reiwa's maiden flight can begin under the assumption that Phase V and all initial pre-flight checks conclude within the estimated timeframe of two weeks.

27.03.835 - Official Maiden Flight
Phase V was reached on the 23th March. All final checks were positive. The IKN-Reiwa is hereby officially launched and has been handed over to the Imperial Guard of Kusari as requested.
As Project head, I wish to sincerely thank the Imperial Diet, Kure Shipyards staff and everyone else involved in this project for their commitment to excellence. You have granted me, Hiroshi Yoshida, architect and advisor to his Imperial Majesty to work with all of you on this wonderful piece of art, this epitome of Kusari craftmanship and culture before my retirement. May the IKN-Reiwa traverse the vastness of Sirius for many decades.
