To whom it may concern,

Good day, I am Anita Raichert, director of Shipping for ALG. We have been made aware of certain restrictions and licensing issues due to recent changes to the laws of the Union. In particular, the issues of contention are shipping via the gate to Tau-23, and the shipment of salvaged military materials. I imagine these items are quite clear; the operation of Briancon depends on shipments to and from the Tau sector, especially fuel. Imports along the Champagne corridor are completely financially unviable for this purpose, and the salvage operation will not be able to continue without crossing into the Taus.
Furthermore, the Independent Miners Guild is our closest business partner, and it is necessary for us to trade with their stations via Languedoc to satisfy our contracts.
As for the second part, we have been contracted with the clean-up of the war debris in the system, so needless to say we require licensure for said debris. As per the contract, it will be processed only on-site at Briancon or by operations of local companies.

What exactly do you want to request?
As described above.
What is its intended destination (cargo), use (technology), purpose (military presence), and reasoning (additional licences)?
As described above.

Regards,
Anita Raichert

Military Salvage
The Licensing & Permits Office deems the sale of Briancon Station as clear intent of the office of Maréchal de Gaule to allow ALG to handle Military Salvage in Gallia and we will be granting a license to ALG and Corporations of Rheinland to handle and transport Military Salvage.

A permanent amendment will be recommended to be included in Gallic Laws.

Restricted Areas
We bring great news. After your request, we have raised the concern for excessive license burden for Sirian corporations such as ALG that will have to work in restricted areas. To adjust for this, the Government of the Gallic Union has amended the trespassing laws to the following:

Quote:§2.5. TRESPASSING
- Entering 10k area around GNI bases.
- Entering locations marked as restricted.
- Exemption: Gallic Law Enforcement, Corporations (Defined as GMS, IDF Shipping and EFL).
- Gallic Law Enforcement present in-field may grant one-off permissions and/or escorts.
- Current exceptions listed in Permits & Licenses Registry
In other words, as long as any Law Enforcement officer is present, they may guide, escort and protect you to and from the restricted areas and there is no longer a need for a separate license. This applies not only to the requested Languedoc trade lanes and gates but all GNI bases and areas that presently or in the future will be clearly marked with restricted warnings in-field.

If for reasons we cannot fathom you would require to be able to conduct short-term work without the protection of Law Enforcement, you may always negotiate short-term contracts with Gallic Corporations or other stakeholders, they just need to be ratified by Official Law Enforcement to allow short-term access.

Quote:§1.3. LICENCES

Permits & Licenses Registry may grant exceptions from legal restrictions, valid for up to one year without renewal. Official Law Enforcement high command or the Gallic Government can grant short-term exceptions.
