Escort Pilot - Frayja Drakul
Weiss]Fernyiges
Channel: Internal/Amber
[Image: image.png]

Guten abend.

The legality of our convoy came into question, while moving just barely into Kusari space by a Hogosha vessel who did not have the ability to "Fine" us in the name of the "Law", I have found a need to deposit both a brief overview of our departure from Rheinland, into Kusari then down to Rheinland space again. As it is of potential legal value to a possible upcoming legal battle with the Hogosha pilot in question, there is nothing omitted for transparency's sake. A detailing of the events shall be below:

As per our assignment, a detachment of Weiss vessels was sent off to escort the frigate "Halle", for a simple run to pick up a shipment of Deuterium from Pennsylvania, courtesy of Bristol. This planned route did not go without hiccups, and was very early on met with a transporter captain of a Bulwark-class vessel, almost deafening the entire convoy with his enhanced comms broadcast coupled with his own shouting. As per instruction, the convoy proceeded anyway despite the set-back, upon which they reported success in the pick-up of Deuterium. The convoy was to drop off in Shikoku for a small profit, to then acquire a shipment of Platinum for the return trip to Alster Shipyard. Within New York, along the route to the short stop-off in Shikoku, several Liberty Lawful assets greeted the convoy, claiming that there was no longer any trouble ahead and that they had cleaned up an unlawful presence in the Colorado and Galileo systems. This brought welcome news to the convoy, and they proceeded with due haste to utilise the opening to its fullest. A Corse vessel passed them by in Colorado, just beside Denver, but there was not as much time for discourse. Another detachment of Liberty Lawful assets was encountered, including a prototype hybrid Battlecruiser, of which the convoy reported "had not seen anything like before". Said Liberty Navy ships proclaimed the same as the previous ones, stating there was no more problems out in Galileo following their decommissioning of all hostile forces. They proceeded, pleased by the information.

Upon entering Galileo and reaching the first junction, asset "Halle" struck up conversation with a Lane Hacker piloting a Kamome, of which a cordial discussion ensued about the region. During this discussion, a Hogosha vessel arrived to the scene, seemingly also of cordial nature. At this point, it was likely attributed to the convoy's size and weight class, although later proved to not be the case upon the very next junction towards Shikoku, the destination. Myself and Gripir had the lane cut on our attempted pass-by to remain in escort with the frigate and bomber that had proceeded down to the gate, of which the Hogosha claimed that they were not finished with the two. The unorthodox interdiction ended up bringing both the Halle and Grief-03 back to the junction, after which the Gunboat captain chose to take issue at the welded on engine of the Fernyiges, due to it's GMG origins. Upon explanation, the Hogosha decided to take further issue with them, insisting that they had the power to threaten a violation of verbal abuse, despite one of the pilots not even speaking up at them aside from an "Oh?" during the initial interdiction. The convoy denied the accusation, instead insisting that the Hogosha captain either left them alone or found there to be an impending legal case to fight. Eventually, the convoy was waved on through, in a bid to try and wave away the impending legal case. That, of course, is down to the legal team of Weiss to decide.

After narrowly avoiding conflict with the Hogosha, we proceeded into Shikoku to complete the delivery of Deuterium, despite the heavy delays. Platinum was quickly loaded at one of the Kusari Keiretsu affiliated installations near the lane stretch between the Liner Yards and the Jump Gate. The Hogosha vessel was apparently still loitering, but waved us by angrily as we left for Liberty space. The light convoy proceeded into Magellan, to merge with our colleagues en route back to Rheinland, including our own Transport Barge Weiss]ISS-Megakatze, which was rescued by navy assets a day prior. After the successful escort, their final destination for the cargo was to be directed towards Hamburg, of which Alster station received a fresh run of the Platinum sourced from Kusari.

Our convoy docked for a short rest stop at Essen, as per the standard shipping procedure of rest and respite during extended runs. Spared further idleness, our convoy group was redirected into Omega space, to perform training exercises in the field far from home. We took a regular Gefahrgut route as an exercise into deeper Omegas close to Omicron Theta borders, wherein we met and disabled two corsair transports before boarding. The ships were surprisingly lightly defended for the disputed Omicron Theta. Our security detail confiscated their cargo, consisting of nearly three thousand units of Rum. As far as the Corsairs know, the transports did not survive, and while using weaponry of civilian in nature, they more closely matched the generic armaments available to the greater Sirian market, reducing the likelihood of traceback to the Weiss corporate as responsible for the attack.

We consider all operations a resounding success, even if the training in the Omegas led to the liberation of large quantities of Cretan alcohol.

[17.03.2026 21:49:05] [LN]-LNS-Phoenix: RO: It isn't. A minor criminal problem, it has been dealt with.
[17.03.2026 21:49:09] [LN]-LNS-Phoenix: RO: You can proceed.
[17.03.2026 21:49:19] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Confirmed. Seems like we have a clear go ahead. Let's head in.

[17.03.2026 21:53:22] 46th|TFA-LNS-Akhetaten: Brown: Outcasts and Rogues. Both capital and snub-sized ships.

[17.03.2026 21:53:59] Weiss]Greif-03: We're in luck today

[17.03.2026 21:54:41] 46th|TFA-LNS-Akhetaten: Brown: To you as well.
[17.03.2026 21:55:38] Weiss]Greif-03: Got a LH here
[17.03.2026 21:55:43] Weiss]ISF-Halle: That's the one
[17.03.2026 21:55:56] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Guten tag. Not a day goes by without hussle, eh?
[17.03.2026 21:55:56] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Copy, we see 'em.
[17.03.2026 21:56:06] Webwitch: Oh I think we've met.
[17.03.2026 21:56:06] Weiss]Greif-03: Friends, it appears our "free" trial has expired
[17.03.2026 21:56:11] Webwitch: At least one of you.
[17.03.2026 21:56:12] Weiss]ISF-Halle: I think we have!
[17.03.2026 21:56:25] Webwitch: Same deal as last time?
[17.03.2026 21:56:33] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Got any fancy tips this time? There's credits in for you.
[17.03.2026 21:56:48] Webwitch: I /have/ seen a Hogosha gunship roaming around the border.
[17.03.2026 21:57:00] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Anything more concrete? I prefer a good deal over a dead one.
[17.03.2026 21:57:13] Webwitch: Concrete hmm.
[17.03.2026 21:57:22] Webwitch: It was a Kusari explorer, bog standard weaponry.
[17.03.2026 21:57:35] Webwitch: Really wanted to tax a Corse gentleman.
[17.03.2026 21:57:50] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Yes, he complained on the way.
[17.03.2026 21:57:56] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Didn't tell him we're acquainted.
[17.03.2026 21:58:00] Webwitch: They mentioned something about a 'border tax' or something similar.
[17.03.2026 21:58:16] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Eh that's a classic. I'm more curious about all that hassle in Ontario.
[17.03.2026 21:58:21] Webwitch: Not much else in terms of movement.
[17.03.2026 21:58:27] Weiss]ISF-Halle: A friend in strange places said we might move some goods over there.
[17.03.2026 21:58:32] Webwitch: Which part of it?
[17.03.2026 21:58:55] Webwitch: DSE's plan flopped, LSF is also sort of on the run.
[17.03.2026 21:59:10] Weiss]ISF-Halle: So somebody there asked for Rheinland supplies? Doesn't quite match.
[17.03.2026 21:59:10] Webwitch: I doubt liberty will get a foothold back there anytime soon.
[17.03.2026 21:59:33] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Nein, I heard they got their asses kicked one lane away from here a few days ago.
[17.03.2026 21:59:45] Webwitch: I doubt you are dealing with the Xenos, or would you?
[17.03.2026 22:00:01] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Well somebody working with us does for sure. That's all I know.
[17.03.2026 22:00:08] Weiss]ISF-Halle: It pays for a merchant to know things.
[17.03.2026 22:00:24] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Say I already left a deposit, how about you do some snooping around for me?
[17.03.2026 22:00:34] Webwitch: They really want their free republic.
[17.03.2026 22:00:35] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Management will be quite generous.
[17.03.2026 22:00:46] Weiss]ISF-Halle: That says a lot, indeed.
[17.03.2026 22:00:47] Webwitch: Anything concrete you'd like to know?
[17.03.2026 22:01:04] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Mostly the type of shipment and who's moving it.
[17.03.2026 22:01:11] Weiss]ISF-Halle: I'd want a cut you see.
[17.03.2026 22:01:23] Weiss]ISF-Halle: How does 2 mil sound? Bonus if the info is good.
[17.03.2026 22:01:35] Webwitch: You'd be surprised to see how empty Ontario usually is.
[17.03.2026 22:01:43] Webwitch: Might not be a bargain that you are looking for.
[17.03.2026 22:01:58] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Might be might not be. A bit of risk makes life worth living.
[17.03.2026 22:02:15] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Send it over to my comm's officer Hannah when she's over at Freeport 8.
[17.03.2026 22:02:17] Webwitch: Might have that Hogosha here momentarily.
[17.03.2026 22:02:18] Webwitch: Yup.
[17.03.2026 22:02:30] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Alright we have a deal. Now there's the hogosha you mentioned.
[17.03.2026 22:02:33] Bakegitsune: Oh. Rheinlanders.
[17.03.2026 22:02:33] Webwitch: You really shouldn't be using the lanes if you want to be stealthy.
[17.03.2026 22:02:39] Weiss]ISS-Gripir: Guten tag.
[17.03.2026 22:02:43] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Guten abend. We heard you collect road tax?
[17.03.2026 22:02:49] Webwitch: At that point you could paint your ship bright green.
[17.03.2026 22:03:01] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Abend, Hogosha.
[17.03.2026 22:03:11] Weiss]ISF-Halle: So Hogosha, how about a 100% Discount on transit?
[17.03.2026 22:03:13] Weiss]Greif-03: Honestly.... I wanted to put gold coating on mine, heh
[17.03.2026 22:03:17] Bakegitsune: No no, all I do is make sure the imports and exports revenue isn't loopholed.
[17.03.2026 22:03:27] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Ah, honest merchant. Like us fellows.
[17.03.2026 22:03:39] Webwitch: Aren't we all.
[17.03.2026 22:03:46] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Ok gruppe. We're done here. Let's meet our quota.
[17.03.2026 22:04:01] Weiss]Greif-03: Ja, boss
[17.03.2026 22:04:15] Webwitch: Toodles then.
[17.03.2026 22:04:22] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Copy.
[17.03.2026 22:04:24] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Aufwiedersehen!
[17.03.2026 22:04:27] Webwitch: I can't promise news, but there's always a maybe!
[17.03.2026 22:04:31] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Be seeing you, I'd bet.
[17.03.2026 22:04:33] Weiss]ISS-Gripir: Take care!
[17.03.2026 22:05:17] Bakegitsune: Let's say we aren't finished, Rheinlander.
[17.03.2026 22:05:18] Weiss]ISS-Gripir: Oh?
[17.03.2026 22:05:24] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: You uh, think we aren't done?
[17.03.2026 22:05:25] Weiss]Greif-03: Interruptions?
[17.03.2026 22:05:37] Bakegitsune: We aren't.
[17.03.2026 22:05:37] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Yeah, that Hogosha killed the lane on us.
[17.03.2026 22:05:39] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Hey what's holding you up?
[17.03.2026 22:05:51] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Well that's not all that nice.
[17.03.2026 22:05:54] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: He's askin' for a good ol' fashioned beating.
[17.03.2026 22:05:59] Bakegitsune: I am making sure the law is upheld in Kusari and, well, scanning all of you.
[17.03.2026 22:06:12] Weiss]Greif-03: Don't you have Police to do that job?
[17.03.2026 22:06:16] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Odd way to ask. Coulda just used your words.
[17.03.2026 22:06:19] Webwitch: That's not very nice.
[17.03.2026 22:06:22] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Apparently not.
[17.03.2026 22:06:26] Bakegitsune: Oh please do it, do break law on the Kusari territory.
[17.03.2026 22:06:44] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Well are you done with your scans?
[17.03.2026 22:06:54] Weiss]ISF-Halle: I presume Deuterium to Shikoku isn't illegal.
[17.03.2026 22:07:08] Bakegitsune: GMG tech on one of you is kinda... interesting.
[17.03.2026 22:07:10] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Drop a countermeasure on him on the way out.
[17.03.2026 22:07:19] Weiss]Greif-03: Ja, we would appreciate that you don't take our time. Time is money
[17.03.2026 22:07:22] Weiss]ISF-Halle: It was bolted on, sadly.
[17.03.2026 22:07:27] Weiss]ISF-Halle: We couldn't peel the damn thing off.
[17.03.2026 22:07:31] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Runs on h-fuel too!
[17.03.2026 22:07:38] Bakegitsune: Oh now we want to speed things up?
[17.03.2026 22:07:56] Bakegitsune: Now I will, well, scan your ships again. You know, storms and all that.
[17.03.2026 22:08:01] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Hey, you are the one who had the chance to talk back at the /other/ junction.
[17.03.2026 22:08:24] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: You tried to catch just our Gunboat, but you caught me too. That's not exactly good news for you, buddy.
[17.03.2026 22:08:39] Webwitch: ...wait you were nitpicking the engine?
[17.03.2026 22:08:55] Weiss]ISF-Halle: That's what he's doing. You know what. Waste the bastard.
[17.03.2026 22:09:00] Bakegitsune: Shut your face or I'll have you fined on basis of section II-2.
[17.03.2026 22:09:06] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Refused.
[17.03.2026 22:09:11] Bakegitsune: We are inside Kusari, cuties.
[17.03.2026 22:09:18] Weiss]ISF-Halle: You have attempted piracy by delaying our convoy.
[17.03.2026 22:09:22] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Halle-actual, lemme handle this.
[17.03.2026 22:09:24] Bakegitsune: Legally, this is a cargo scan.
[17.03.2026 22:09:54] Bakegitsune: I'm listening.
[17.03.2026 22:10:04] Weiss]Greif-03: Then hurry the hell up. You are as slow as a snail using the toilet upside down
[17.03.2026 22:10:10] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Legally my ass. You've got two options.
[17.03.2026 22:10:16] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Also 2 minutes.
[17.03.2026 22:10:25] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: One, you turn around and leave us be. Works for all of us.
[17.03.2026 22:10:35] Bakegitsune: II-2 of the Kusari legal code, Greif.
[17.03.2026 22:10:49] Webwitch: Oh that ancient explorer and it's blindspot on the underside.
[17.03.2026 22:10:51] Bakegitsune: Also I operate on basis of another section, so...
[17.03.2026 22:10:55] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Two, You and Weiss have a serious problem, and you decide /not/ to leave.
[17.03.2026 22:10:58] Webwitch: Oh to be a gunship hiding in that blindspot.
[17.03.2026 22:11:30] Weiss]Greif-03: If you got offended by a fact, you are a very sensitive flower
[17.03.2026 22:11:38] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Do tell me which option you'll pick, because if you decide to interfere and stop us, then it's no longer an inspection.
[17.03.2026 22:12:07] Webwitch: A what now.
[17.03.2026 22:12:09] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: At that point it becomes an unlawful interdiction of a lawful convoy, and you don't wanna see what we do to Pirates.
[17.03.2026 22:12:12] Weiss]ISS-Gripir: ?:You gonna scan the bristol guy as well?
[17.03.2026 22:12:19] Webwitch: Oh I have to see that up close.
[17.03.2026 22:12:32] Weiss]Greif-03: What is that?
[17.03.2026 22:12:40] Webwitch: That's a peculiar relic you have there!
[17.03.2026 22:12:45] Weiss]ISF-Halle: So are you going to enforce the law right now or?
[17.03.2026 22:12:54] Webwitch: I hope you've ripped out most of the old system in that one.
[17.03.2026 22:12:56] Bakegitsune: Okay, that's what happens. According to the Kepler Treaty, Northern part of Galileo is Kusari territory, or rather--
[17.03.2026 22:13:00] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: Its as easy as saying One, or Two.
[17.03.2026 22:13:02] B|-BCV-Endeavor: B: All vessels, this is Bristol cruiser Endeavor. Hacker, request you exit the area at once
[17.03.2026 22:13:02] Bakegitsune: --protectorate.
[17.03.2026 22:13:11] Webwitch: I know at least seven vulnerabilities in just the comms array.
[17.03.2026 22:13:19] B|-BCV-Endeavor: B: Be smart with this job, Hacker
[17.03.2026 22:13:33] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Okay so we'll take this to court. Please send an official channel message or stop holding us.
[17.03.2026 22:13:37] Webwitch: Oh that wasn't a threat.
[17.03.2026 22:13:43] B|-BCV-Endeavor: B: I believe you
[17.03.2026 22:13:46] Webwitch: Just a friendly heads-up!
[17.03.2026 22:13:51] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Further damage to our profit margin will be explicitly your liability.
[17.03.2026 22:13:57] B|-BCV-Endeavor: B: Hogosha vessel, you are ordered to cease impeding lawful traffic at once
[17.03.2026 22:14:14] Webwitch: You can ask that pilot with the mining ship. I'm great at giving friendly advice.
[17.03.2026 22:14:27] B|-BCV-Endeavor: B: I believe you, Hacker
[17.03.2026 22:14:30] Bakegitsune: Let's say each of you will be fined a 10,000 Cr for breaching section II-2 within Kusari protectorate space. How's that?
[17.03.2026 22:14:47] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Send it over official government channels. Otherwise we cannot comply.
[17.03.2026 22:14:56] Webwitch: Shame I can't make out sarcasm through these rattling comm channels.
[17.03.2026 22:15:03] Webwitch: So I will choose to believe you.
[17.03.2026 22:15:13] B|-BCV-Endeavor: B: Hogosha vessel, interrogative, under what law are you fining these vessels at?
[17.03.2026 22:15:14] Bakegitsune: According to the same section, I have full right to apprehend the law breakers en lieu of Naval or Police actual... Yeah right.
[17.03.2026 22:15:31] Bakegitsune: II-2, public profanities obviously.
[17.03.2026 22:15:40] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Well you haven't done anything except demand a personal account transfer, which I don't think you have the right to demand.
[17.03.2026 22:15:53] Weiss]Fernyiges: F: First it's my engines, then its profanities?
[17.03.2026 22:15:57] Bakegitsune: And insulting... *Shuffle.* Ah. Actually.
[17.03.2026 22:16:00] Weiss]ISS-Gripir: ?:H fuel must be a new type of passenger!

[17.03.2026 22:16:22] Webwitch: Hi, hello!
[17.03.2026 22:16:30] Weiss]ISF-Halle: right to defend ourselves, he cannot demand the fine.
[17.03.2026 22:16:39] Bakegitsune: *Laughs.*
[17.03.2026 22:16:57] Weiss]ISF-Halle: Go on, send a legal complaint.
[17.03.2026 22:17:00] Bakegitsune: Do it. We'll see if we you will risk trying to break Kusari law in this part of Galileo.
[17.03.2026 22:17:18] Bakegitsune: But actually, you may go. I have a worse scum on my scanner.
[17.03.2026 22:17:24] Weiss]ISF-Halle: I mean what we'll do right now is turn around and continue on our course and continue this dispute in court.
