I've done a little checking. The use of hudshift is fine as it is included with the mod.

If you need to disable hudshift, remove or rename the file "hudshift.ini". Don't change the "hudshift.dll" file though.

What is hudshift?

There was a complaint because your signature violated forum rule 1. Specifically:
Quote:Adult content or links to adult content; This includes any anime that is in any way slightly graphic or pornographic;
So it's been removed.

AFAIK it adjusts your HUD to fit on all resolutions and aspect ratios. In other words, if you ran on super high resolutions on 16:3 widescreen, your HUD would be where it was supposed to be, not all over the place. If you don't notice anything wrong, then it's working for you.

You've either installed another version of Hudshift over the one that's included with the Discovery mod, or you're looking in the wrong place (no idea where that could be; there's no Hudshift.cfg anywhere in my install). HudShift.ini should be located in the root of the EXE directory along with HudShift.dll.

EDIT: So if you've installed the Discovery mod to the default location, the full path to the file should be "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Discovery Freelancer 4.86.0\EXE\HudShift.ini".

This is a known bug and that is the correct fix.

It will be fixed for 4.87.

There was a sig here, once.
