as every one known.......fighter vs fighter it could never end or it last very long..

because Fighter class ship have so much B/B compare to their hull...a VHF usually have 60~70 bots..that's about 36000~42000 extra hull..for bomber usually have more 80 bots..that's 48000+ extra hull....and Fighter class ship shouldn't have such self repair ability (can repair its self may be 50% hull max..)..they repair on Carrier or a base..



PS: decrease GB's bots capacity increase bats capacity too...a Gunboat just like a 2~3 men fighter.....(BHG Gunship is like only can fit 1 man in it..)..

Most VHF's/bombers in the mod can 'recharge' their shields and hull 4-5 times minimum, some can recharge more than that.

Gunboats... Not so much. Back when I flew my liberty gunboat with a MkVIII armor upgrade, I got a single shield recharge from bots (all 350 bots drained for one shield refill, and it wasnt even a full one at that), and I could get around one and a half hull regens from bots before I was out.

For the most part, transports/capships are balanced when it comes to bots/bats, they get a single regen for shields and hull, maybe a little extra, and that's it.

When you consider how many times a Bomber can heal it seems to be like a Gun boat with super cannons on it thats hard to hit.

Obviously you've never flown a Spatial. It has 300 B/B. 300. I ran across an entire system with someone firing on me and didn't die. Got halfway across the next system before they killed me. Oh, and I wasn't really dodging much, either.

they must not have had much firepower then.

The spatial is so big even an LPI could hit it.

I'm against lowering it.
Fighters need all the help they can get when
a bomber or Capship comes around.
If we lower it the fighters...will die in an even shorter 1 hit kill time..
if thats possible...

Lower it for fighters, lower it for everything else too.


Just lowering it for fighters makes it a teeny weeny bit uneven.


And, it'd be best done in percentages, i.e. if we lower fighter bot/ bat count by 50%, lower everything else's count by 50% too.

Great... making them even at 300 should be about alright, but how would capital fights go then is anybody's guess... probably shields would become a bit more important,... Infernos spamming and such..

Fighters should be a priority though, as things stand fighters are one man armies,... a fighter battle should take something like 5 minutes. Perhaps 10 if fully upgraded... anything more is overkill...

My recent survivability example goes as... Xeno Bomber (me) was flying to get a new ship, (a freighter) and i run in to a gunboat... i already sold my shield, supernova, so i had like lvl 4 hf shields... mk8 armor though was still on, the guy viciously engaged me in a gunboat... distrupting and everything... I surrendered so we stoped fighting, and he ordered me to stop running, i told him to make his demands... he then proceeded to "Have a nice day!" and blasting at me with cerebs and 7 order turrets.... all that at point blank while i was typing and holding still... Do you think i died? NO, i didn't i just pressed F and G, and blazed off in to the sunset... poor Junker pursuing me with out as much as a chance,...

In the history of mankind armor and firepower development followed eachother closeley... It seems in Sirius things are a little bit diffrent,... *What is that hull damage, No problem... botts attack!, and he drinks the magic potion of healing*

It is my understanding that armor upgrade also upgrades your nannobotts... and to get a vanilla feal to the game again we'd need to lower the capacity by 2 (or even 2.5)

And with the botts being able to repair the whole ship... why does a fighter cost 2M when you could order the botts to make it for 20k...?

//Spatial is just like it should be, a big target, with plenty of regen, something to keep you alive in radiation fields, against nomads and such... you can hardly win a serius battle due to it's size thou...

All of this came up earlier too.

Lots of players agreed (the other half didn't) that Bots should only be available for Caps (I'd say Cruiser++).

It is quite realistic that Caps host a bunch of repair droids although they wouldn't bring an instant heal effect like Bots.
For fighters/bombers(/gunboats?) I find it unrealistic (as much as it is possible in a fiction ;-) ).

So I would go for no Bots on nonCaps, or at most ~10 of them - you can repair scratches and a loose junction but nothing more serious.
