Youtube has been in the shait for the last few months for me. Never had this problem.
I remember when you could pause the video and let it load, now it pauses the buffering with it.

Are you sure it's the connection, and not your computer/browser being unable to render the stream in time? I know Internet Exploder tends to have... issues... when it's been running a while.
