The construction of the first Core Battleship became a symbol of the faction's rising influence. Formed from a consortium of powerful House venture capital interests, The Core is a rich and dangerous private military force. The first of the Core's fearsome Mako battleships were launched from rented berths at House shipyards, then maintained at remote Core facilities deep in the Omicrons. The Mako battleships are intended to operate in remote Edge Worlds systems, defending station construction sites and spearheading assaults into uncharted deep space.
