      Areas of Interest

      Nebulae

      Guerrero Asteroid Cloud

      >>>WARNING: NAVIGATIONAL HAZARD<<<

A large rocky asteroid field located in the Vespucci system. The metallic dust within the cloud has a significant dampening effect, rendering ship sensors largely ineffective. Some speculate abandoned Liberty Insurgency assets may be hidden in the field following their defeat by the Liberty Navy in 829 AS. Few prospectors or scavengers return from expeditions to locate this rumored treasure, amid reports of unknown, hostile vessels prowling the depths.

      Tijuana Ice Field

      <TRA color="red" bold="true"/>

      WARNING: MINES DETECTED

A large ice asteroid field that once formed part of the Sonora Ice Field. The Tijuana Ice Field remains a serious navigation hazard, primarily due to the unexploded mines from Liberty Insurgency defenses that have since dispersed from a lack of maintenance. Despite the destruction of the Insurgency, pirates, terrorists and smugglers still frequent the field.

      Sonora Ice Field

The ice asteroids of Sonora were originally part of the Barrier, pulled into the gravity well of the Vespucci system over time. In the waning years of the Commonwealth, substantial deposits of silver have been discovered at the northwestern edge of the field, leading to speculation that this field intersected with another belt at some point. No outstanding mining operations have been assembled in the field, however, largely due to the local Gaian garrison targeting Commonwealth, and later Insurgency, operations across Vespucci.

After the defeat of the Insurgency in 829 AS, the activity within the field dropped sharply, with little more than an occasional scavenger or a Gaian scout disturbing the desolate system.

      Wrecks

      Interlocutor - F/E-7

This Prosecutor has been set down in the dust of an asteroid's crater. While the vessel's name is emblazoned on its flanks, the onboard nav computer and transponder has been thoroughly purged. There is no sign of battle damage or mechanical malfunction, however scans indicate the pilot remains in the cockpit.

      Contains:

      Avarice Wreck - E/F-6

The wreck of a stray pirate vessel that strayed into the Guerrero Asteroid Field. The Aravice was left in place as a warning to future tresspassers.

      Contains:

      Jump Gates/Holes

      Target System Type Location
      Kansas Jump Hole G/F-3
      Magellan Jump Hole B-5/4
