Sombunall independant pirates have decided to change the roleplay in Omega 49, it appears.
Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise...
It gives us "options" within roleplay, and within the scope of our ID, to adjust our roleplay accordingly.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch:
Yes, Zoners can be pirated.
Yes, 49 is somehow magically within Corsair ZoI, because we "hired 'em"..
Yes, Opportunistic miners in 49 might learn it's cheaper to hire escorts than to be destroyed.
Yes, we are currently limited in our options to protect Non-Zoners at the present time.
Yes, you are sadly mistaken in thinking that the Zoners cannot or will not fix the problem.
......and the next time some Yo-Yo decides to take a shot at my ship, even with a CD, will become space dust. Yes, the Corsair independent in question knows who they are. Convenient that you shot and then took a jump hole out.
Kelt's original question regarding the "rules" was asked and answered. Yes, you can be pirated in Omega 49.
The discussion has since strayed from rules, and into RP. I'm guilty of leading it astray myself, so nothing personal in the following moderative action.
Thank you all for coming. You can certainly continue the discussion in other venues if you like. Cheers.
