Several reports indicate of a new weapon used by the nomad entities. These "mines" as our pilots call them, seem to be a stationary energy based projectile that the nomad releases from its body. They somehow manage to compile a large amount of energy in a single part of their body, and then release it out into space. The energy is subdued by a field of biological molecules that somehow restrain the energy from escaping the "ball" shaped projectile. After anything hits the projectile, it distrupts the field and the energy is released, creating an explosion of similar magnitude to our nuclear mines.
