OVERVIEW


Samura has taken the initiative to restart its superconductor research and development onboard Nansei Research Complex, scaling back anti-matter research in favor of negating Liberty’s embargo on vital materials for Kusari’s jump drives. Pulling it’s strings within the Bretonian crown, the Empire has leveraged the Dublin Campaign jump bridge to request the best materials Bretonian smelters have to offer. And while such a move has not been without opposition, security guarantees by the Kusari Office of Intelligence have put all but the most ardent opponents on the back foot.

Meanwhile, the Liberty Security Force has not been idle, despite some setbacks on the home front. The LSF have launched a number of undercover operations of questionable success rate in the past year, with one exception. Prior cooperation with the Blood Dragons which allowed the delay of the jump bridge has developed over time into a solidifying, yet cautious, partnership. The local LSF Directorate has marked a number of high end weaponry for export to the Dragons in exchange for an enhanced and determined campaign against Nansei. These shipments, taken straight from the production lines of the vaunted Detroit Munitions, should allow to draw attention away from the Galileo Flashpoint, and delay the jump drive program.

Activity within Kyushu, the Taus, and Galileo will surely reach a high point as blockade runners scramble away from law enforcement patrols while Samura convoys battle against motivated "pirates" and Dragon raiders. Bretonia has tightened enforcement within their territory and has issued an advisory of unsafe travel conditions within the Tau region. However, with existing commitments on the Dublin front and fresh Omega developments, it is unable to operate more than token patrols in the defense of its new partners in trade. With substantial incentives provided on both sides of the contest, only time will tell which investments will pay off when the strategical battlefield will turn tactical in the systems bordering Galileo.

Bounties:
  • Dragons and Chochinbi/KOI will receive a point and $500k for kills of the opposing team, while Samura, LSF, and Pirates will earn $250k.
  • Ships combat docking will give up a bounty to their pursuer, given sufficient evidence.

Rule Changes:
  • Trade Ships docking in Bretonia, Kusari, Liberty, and bordering systems with event commodities during a hostile encounter ARE considered to be "killed".
  • Samura is considered hostile by Liberty for the purpose of the LSF id. Its ships are considered combat ships.

Rewards:
Points may be combined across any characters on the same config given the approval of everyone involved.

Custom Title
Requires an INRP write-up about the event from the point of view of your character. Can be submitted as a report within a relevant faction channel, or as part of a story thread.

Smuggler ID
Requires shipping at least 400,000 combined units of any event commodity. The total can be combined across all of your characters.

The occupation is a dangerous one, as they may find themselves targets of both law enforcement and pirates, but the demand for drugs, weaponry, or exotic alien materials promises great rewards to the daredevil pilots who are willing to take the risks.

OVERVIEW

The few diplomatically-inclined members of the Atum command staff have been at their wits' end to prolong their chary welcome. After weeks of guarded half-promises and carefully measured intimidation, Admiral Nilsen can finally announce a way forward. The Atum will once again be on the move - not through the heart of Liberty as many enlisted feared, and not through the chancy Bretonian patrols. Instead, with fresh news from the nearby Borderworlds, the Atum will have a new assignment in Coronado, under the oversight of the Crayter Republic.

With increasing reports of unidentified ships clashing with local patrols in Vespucci, the Gaian contingent could not simply wave goodbye to their unexpected guest. Through promises made in desperation, the support of Artemis and her crack team of veterans of Bretonian aggression, the Atum will make a break with a reinforced escort. While the loan of credits and other favors will need to be paid off eventually, all on the Atum know that the Overwatch will be good for it despite their bluster. Besides, if the ship doesn't get to Coronado in one piece, it won't be their problem anyway.

The Wild, freshly deployed from Trier, have already been drawn to the area by the reverberations of the destruction of one of the rogue war-forms. With the overt nomad presence retreating from the area, the crippled Atum remains an alluring target, worth the risk of operating outside of normal parameters. But even if the escorting force proves too much for the middling resources available on short notice, the mere commitment of local assets will solidify distrust among the human factions in the region. With the Vagrant thralls sure to attempt retribution, there is opportunity to fool the humans into a temporary truce, paving the way for potential operational legitimacy for their new Bretonian dispositions.

While the Wild may choose to play a deeper game, the Wendigos controlled by the mauled Vagrants have a simpler goal in mind: the destruction of their hated adversary. With the accumulation of a steady force of corrupted humans, the rogue Mindshare is willing to risk a substantial fraction in an attempt to delay further Order operations in the area. If the Atum is allowed to be repaired without issue, it will only be a matter of time until it resumes its hunt. And this time around, the chances of getting away have been erased by the simultaneous death of the many sentiences that took it upon themselves to rescue the Wyoming. Either the Atum will come back to finish the job in Vespucci, or it will join forces with local Crayter assets for a push on the Inverness cluster. Neither eventuality can be allowed to happen, no matter the cost.

With any gains towards a Liberty connection erased by the Jericho blast, and lukewarm discussions of continued development, Crayter leadership was more willing to hear out the approach of Order agents on site after disaster struck. In exchange for a comprehensive repair and protection, the Atum and its crew would be put to use, discovering what it is that had happened, and securing resources from Overwatch to deal with the threat. And after the eventual repair, Crayter would no longer need to work with the LSF and their inconvenient priorities to deal with the mounting local threats. After all, if their new guests became unruly, the Republic could always hand them over to their good neighbors, a fact that will surely keep everyone on edge during any eventual cooperation.

DETAILS



Convoy Details:
  • The Atum will return as a damaged Osiris with ~8 mil effective HP and infinite powercore. It will be flown by a staff member, and cannot dock.
  • The convoy will proceed from the NPC Atum to Sabah Shipyard along a number of pre-determined waypoints, where it will stop for ~5 minutes before continuing on.
  • These are: Veracruz orbit (Vespucci), The Barrier edge (Magellan), the Blue Dwarf (Cortez), and the Caminha Comet (Coronado).
  • The Gaians may escort the convoy into Magellan, but only until the Crayter contingent takes over at the Barrier.
  • The Atum cannot die, but it can be heavily damaged. It will reach this state at ~1 mil HP.

Bounties:
  • Event IDs will earn points and a $200k bonus for kills of the opposing team.
  • Eligible event IDs will earn double points and a $400k bonus for Order kills, and Order will get the same bonus for all enemy kills.

Restarts:

  • The Wild and Wendigos have ZOI in event systems for the duration of the event.
  • The Wild will have a forward base in Manchester, near the Magellan Jump Hole (Equalizer, at G/F-2/3).
  • Wendigos will have a forward base in Magellan, near the Cortez Jump Hole (Abandoned Outpost, at D2).
  • Crayter may not leave the Barrier in Magellan for the duration of the event.
  • Gaians may not enter Cortez and Coronado for the duration of the event.

Outcomes:
  • A successful transit will ensure the Atum is ready for further developments within its new AO in a short period of time.
  • The Atum sustaining heavy damage will relegate it to longer repairs, and a difficult decision for all involved should it be targeted while in dry-dock.

OVERVIEW

With the Eastern part of the Sirius Sector cloaked in mist of consistent terror and oppression, the other half of it faces a predicament not any less dreary. Ever defiant and determinated to reclaim their triumph and namesake, the Vagrants have adapted practices of their begrudged siblings, silently establishing a concerningly intimidating network of Thralls and Infiltrators, though not yet grand as that of the Nomads.

There is, however, a twist to these practices: though those so called "Wendigos" operate primarily through under-the-table deals, seduction or exchanges, when it comes to their denounced family, the Vagrants and their Thralls are not shy of poaching their tools - metaphorically or literally.


DETAILS

RULES - READ THEM CAREFULLY

This is an RP event focused around player storybuilding and interaction. The event's topic is "Acquisition of Human and Mainshare Wild ships by the Vagrants and Wendigos".
  • Participants are required to write a Story for their Acquired Ship - its origin and how it came into the possession of the Vagrants and Wendigos. The stories may feature following motifs - Negotiation, Bartering, Maniupaltion, Vagrant Synthesis Hybridization.
  • Wendigos are an entity within the Vagrant Share that follows the following themes - Manipulation, Seduction, Indoctrination.
  • It is ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY to follow the established canons of Nomad and Vagrant lore. You may expand on them, but you may not contradict them. For reference, follow Jammi's Lore Bits on Nomad Infiltration and The Daam-K'Vosh, as well as all the available ingame content such as Infocards and Rumors. You may also join The Vagrant Discord if you need assistance in understanding or clarifying. Don't be afraid to ask.
  • The part where the ship gets into possession of the Vagrants and the Wendigos must take place ingame and be recited on the Forums, with Visual Evidence (Screenshots (edited or not) or Videos) embedded into the Story itself.
  • Existing Wild, Nomad, Vagrant and Wendigo characters may participate in the event, but the ship's abduction has to take place during it. The ship cannot already be in possession of the Wendigos or the Vagrants, nor will the acquisitions that happened prior to the Event's starting date count. HOWEVER!
  • Ships that are already in possession of Mainshare Wilds and the Nomads, as well as those that participated in the Tales of Terror event, may be subjects of stories for purposes of this event.
  • Players are encouraged to pre-arrange and script such events, but be warned that if we find your plot to be too convenient. it will not be received too fondly. "I found it in the asteroid field" will not count. Be genuine and give it effort. No need to rush things.

  • Stories must be submitted for a review after the Event has ran its course using one of the forms below.
  • Every player may submit only one story for a review. A group of players must choose a player to represent them in a submission form and they may also submit only one story.
  • Player Factions may opt in for multiple ships in a single submission form, though that will raise the plank of roleplay quality expectations. They may request a max of Four Snubcraft Vessels in a single request, and up to Two Transports, Gunboats or Cruisers. Battleships, Battlecruisers, Bustards, Amaterasus, Longhorns, Bulwarks, Barges and Hegemons are exempt from this rule and may only be requested in singular quantity. Player Factions eligible for requests containing multiple ships - Vagrant.
  • Capital Assets (Cruisers and Above) can only be included in a story made by a group of players and will require equal roleplaying effort from all the participants. Every participating player must be mentioned in the submission form.

  • If a Group Submission Template is used, the ship will be shared between all the players included in the template. They and only they may have access to the ship. Further changes will have to be submitted in a Player Request or negotiated with the Staff.
  • If another player is found to be given access to the ship or/and its assets without consulting or notifying the Staff, the ship and its assets will be deleted, with additional punishments dispensed according to the Staff's discretion. Treat it as you would an SRP ship.

REWARDS

Rather than the amount of things you do, the rewards will be based on the quality of your story.
  • Proper grammar and logical narrative structure are mandatory, as well as readable BBCode visualization. Use soft colors and proper font sizes in your texts.
  • The more varied and tribulated your story is, the better quality score it will receive. Your character is allowed to win in the long run, but a better flavor will be achieved if they do so through some amounts of sacrifices, challenges and/or trials.
  • Don't skip opportunities for storytelling where there can be. Don't be shy to ask others to help you if you're having a problem with writing your story. Don't be a scrudge if someone is asking you to help them out.

Quality Score - Satisfactory
Players who receive a Satisfactory Score will receive 10,000,000 Credits and may request any Codename Weapon that is obtainable in any way (such as Wrecks, Encounters or POB Crafts (excluding Faction Codenames such as Batrachotoxin)), inclusive up to Cruiser-grade. If the story featured Hybridization themes, they may also request a fitting Nomad Engine for their ship.

Quality Score - Good
Players who receive a Good Score will receive 15,000,000 Credits and may request any Codename Weapon identical to the "Satisfactory" Score, inclusive up to Battlecruiser-grade. Additionally, if the story featured Hybridization themes, they may also request a fitting Nomad Engine for their ship along with a with a Paradox Cyst of their choice.

Quality Score - Exceptional
Players who receive an Exceptional Score will receive 20,000,000 Credits and may request any Codename Weapon identical to the "Satisfactory" Score, inclusive up to Battleship-grade. Additionaly, if the story features Hybridization themes, they may request a fitting Nomad Engine for their ship along with Nomad Weapons Technology Exempt.

Rewards for Good and Exceptional scores are subject to negotiation.

Please do note that Bustards, Hegemons, Bulwarks, Longhorns, Amaterasus and Barges cannot have Nomad Engines due to technical reasons.

Monetary Reward for Group Effort will be split evenly between all the participants, yet all the participants may request a Codename Weapon of their choosing individually.
