As a small early holiday present to the Official Factions, we are rolling out /nodock for a more broad use.
Details are as follows:
For house law enforcement OFs, /nodock would be granted to house lawful and corporate IFF'd bases in house space as defined by rule 4.0
For all other OFs, /nodock would be granted to all same-IFF bases.
The current duration is 120 seconds and might be subject to change.
Rule-wise - please note that from this moment forward, /nodock would need to conform to either engagement, piracy, or law enforcement lines. Abuse would lead to sanctions, and, in severe cases, removal of /nodock functionality from the offending faction.
Changes should go live on the next restart. As this is an experiment, all mentioned conditions are subject to change according to feedback and actual usage.
YUKAWA SHIPYARD, HONSHU - Following rumors that the unusual amount of newly commissioned and retrofitted warships in drydock around Yukawa are slated for deployment on the already tense Liberty-Kusari border, Admiral Isoroku Nagumo has issued a statement condemning said rumors as ‘perfidious Libertonian propaganda.’ The newly christened IKN Minato is said to be in the final stages of shakedown, and is set to launch within the week.
With no end to Liberty-Kusari tensions in sight, both houses continue to scramble in preparation for the inevitable escalation as a concerned sector looks on with gleeful anticipation and dread.
Though it is uncertain where the leak originated or how the intel fell into the hands of the LSF "White Rabbit" Division, detailed schedules of the IKN MINATO final shakedown inspections have indicated a twenty minute block of vulnerability. Post initial drive tests, the IKN MINATO will move outside of the main YUKAWA SHIPYARD drydock cradle and power down as part of an untethered ECCM and emissions test - wherein she will remain stationary and with no weapons until tests have concluded or fifteen minutes after shots have been fired.
With insufficient time to prepare for a more careful surgical strike, but unwilling to pass up a golden opportunity to set Kusari war preparations back, the LSF has scrambled Task Force CHESHIRE to Sector D2 in the Hiyo Cloud as a operational staging area for a covert 'under cover' strike on the IKN MINATO at YUKAWA SHIPYARD.
DETAILS
Strike Details:
LSF players will base themselves from the "OSC-Cheshire" - a spoofed transponder luxury liner POB in the Hiyo Cloud (D2). All LSF ships must be fully under cover, with no equipment, transponders, or tags that may trace back to Liberty. Freelancer IDs for the purpose of this event are permitted so long as all ships remain on the same 'side' for the entirety of the event and exclusively base off of OSC-Cheshire
Non-LSF players (everyone else) may base themselves off of anywhere that is not Yukawa Shipyard or Battleship Sado
All participants that are "under cover" will be considered non-hostile by the Kusari defenders until the first shots are fired - 'undercover' ships in the vicinity of Yukawa Shipyard may be ordered to leave by the Kusari authorities, and treated as hostile if noncompliant.
The 'IKN-MINATO[x]' will be a titan armored Kusari Battlecruiser that sits inert from 1900 UTC to 1920 UTC, or 15 minutes after the first shots have been fired. Destruction of the IKN MINATO is the goal of the event.
All ships in this event are limited to Cruisers and smaller (Hybrid Classification Ships such as the Longhorn, Bulwark, Hegemon, etc, EXCEPT the Bustard and the Amaterasu, are permitted).
Infinite resupplies and respawns are permitted until the IKN MINATO has been destroyed, or until 1930 UTC, after which the MINATO will dock on YUKAWA and 'survive'
There will be no listed rewards for this specific event, but outcomes will affect certain subsequent events.
EDIT: 1800 UTC to 1900 UTC because 8AM my time is a tad early.
We've identified a game-crashing bug that occurs when non-snub ships (meaning capital ships including transports) try to undock from Pueblo Station in the Colorado system. This will be fixed with the next patch. Until then, please don't dock on Pueblo Station, as your ship will get stuck there.
Testing shows that snubs and freighters seem to be able to undock just fine, but it is best to avoid Pueblo Station until we patch. In case your ship is stuck on Pueblo Station because of this bug, please file a Player Request with your exact ship name to have your ship put on a nearby base or repeatedly ping any of the admins in the Discovery Official Discord. @Luke. said he really likes to get pinged, especially when he is streaming on Twitch or sleeping, so do make sure to poke him. If he doesn't respond immediately, keep poking. You know the moment when you go to the toilet and your cat decides that it needs to be in the same room with you and meows and scratches the door until you let it in? Be that cat.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
I'm also adding this image of a funny cat for everyone outside the UK.
