I have to say, i love BIG systems, my favourate being Honshu. The reason being that if you pirate a trader, police/militaries take ages to arrive, and when they do, the many long chases often involve some top class RPing. It is more fun for pirates (at least it is for me) that way and i know traders get annoyed about the massiveness of a system. I just think it adds a lot to the game, our solar system we live in isnt exactly small after all.

I would go for the mid-sized systems not because I have a preference, but because it reduces lag, creates more player encounters and reduces "idle time" while travelling.

I definitely think objects should be some 15-20k from each other max, unless connected by a trade lane. As Discovery is also about exploration, I think it's a good idea to have stellars close enough for always having something to find, when you finally get that discovery scanner for yourself and are tired of the more common play.

I like medium systems, because when I'm looking for a new jumphole in systems like Newcastle, i can't find it for a long time

And in general it depends on who are you- trader or pirat

For my part i strongly disslike the Newcastle System, too big, over crowded with stuff, and everthing is obsertly far apart.

System with nothin gin it, are boring. Sigma-17 is one of the nicest systems, it looks nice, has a Jumpgate, some Jumpholes and wrecks, an "artifact" and two bases.

Personally, I like the Pennsylvania system, it is what I think a system should be.

-Everything isn't on the same level
-lots of planets
-a lot of the available space has bee used.

Compared to reality, even Newcaste is ridiculously too small!. What do you think? If we travel with light speed through our solar system, we need 4 hours to plowing trough. What time we need to cross newcastle?

15 minutes, not more. Ok, it isnt a short time, but compared to realism..... Very short time.

I like the big and large systems!
