The last Lolberty funboat I personally ran into was gunned down by a Bactrian with a Tizona on it. Lolcaps, in general, suck at pvp and can be dealt with relatively easily.


Show them their big bad capship is utterly useless and they might just get the hint.:P

Seconded. Nothing sucks more than LABCs and Siege Cruisers chasing down my Greyhound... thanks to the Admins getting rid of the cruise is fleeing rule, now I can't even thrust away from them.

I haven't met a Liberty lolcap on my Rogue in months. Anyway, I'm against making caps faction-only. I think factions should get more control over who can buy them though with whatever ways people can think of.

You can also, you know, run away from them, like me. Lose them in an asteroid field or something.

Umm, no. I'm the guy who was unhappy with you when you suggested writing a program that could effectively be used to hack the player database. By anyone with a backdoor tool. That's not RP Nazism. It's my concern for the well-being of the players of DiscoGC.

Well, I did write this when I was a little miffed...but my opinion still stands. From an RP perspective, it maes total sense. Im not saying to get rid of indie caps completely. I said that I think caps shhould only be used by those in factions OR by those who get permission from faction leaders. If you really ARE good at RP, Im sure getting permission will be no problem.

Also, I noticed a few people mention Gunboats. Im not saying Gunboats should be restricted, just Cruisers and above.

This makes me recap my time in Alpha. When I started there, the system hat a nice population of people, two non-gb caps at peak times, handing out caps controlled by the 101st, people could be hunted and shot for "stealing needed heavy equipment". Everything was fine.

Then the control about the RM-1 outcast destroyer got dropped, they didn't need to request nor to register it. Within less than a month people started to complain about outcast cap-spam while half of the fighters and GBs had turned into cruiser.

A little bit later the faction right to control capital ships got removed completely. Now, if I'm undocking from Malta, I have to be careful not to ram a dread or bs and bounce back into the planet. I'm spending most of my time on my outcast chars to remind them how to behave and what special regulations about capships have been made by the outcast government. Not very funny anymore.

In short: Agreed

But somehow I feel like we had that matter a couple of times already, or is it just me?

bring back faction rule 5 or just do what the order does give the slect few well roleplayed people chances to influence policys i was offered to run the Liberty Caop Regrestry and i myself AM and Indie pew pewing them wont make the poroblem go away youll just make them get bigger and more ships in groups
