    Areas of Interest

    Nebulae

    Sierra Vista Nebula

The Sierra Vista Nebula is a remarkable sight for travellers passing through Coronado, and those that venture inside are met with a vast field of very large asteroids that render any travel through the field to be quite difficult for anything but small ships.

    Barrier Rim

The Barrier Rim is a small segment on the edge of the Barrier Ice Field. It is the primary navigational challenge for smugglers flying contraband into Liberty through a section of space known as the Barrier Pass.

    Asteroid Fields

    Mineable Zone

    COPPER ORE

Ore is a type of rock that contains minerals such as metals which can be extracted through mining and refined for use. The ores must be processed to extract the metals of interest from the waste rock and from the ore minerals. Many organizations prefer to receive unsmelted ores in order to keep the additional cost of their production and finish within the local economy, as opposed to paying markups to foreign laborers to do the work for them.

    Alien Gate Debris Field

    No information available.

    Wrecks

    Fortune Hunter - C/B-7

Stephanie Holt and the Fortune Hunter were reported as missing on Barrier Gate in 827 AS, after failing to return from a planned expedition. She was presumably studying the nearby ruins, but appears to have bled to death through the ears, eyes and nose.

    Contains:

    Aggressor-6 - C/B-7/6

This Valkyrie's serial codes match with declassified Rheinland records indicating it was assigned to the Battleship Verthandi. The battleship and its squadrons were listed as lost in 800 AS. It is unclear how the Aggressor came to be located in The Barrier.

    Contains:

    Tourmenteur-3 - C-7

This vessel bears the livery of the infamous Tourmenteur squadron, a Gallic Royal Intelligence unit based off the Battleship Embrun. The Tormenteurs were renown for their brutal tactics and frequent war crimes. There are no known records of the squadron operating in Coronado during the Gallic War.

    Contains:

    Apollo-1 - C-7

This Nyx fighter belonged to Major Rya Drosos, Crayter flight leader of the Carrier Malachite's Apollo squadron. Drosos appears to have ejected, with the wreckage of her vessel abandoned on the battlefield. Critical damage was inflicted by weapons of an unknown type.

    Contains:

    Mantello - C-5

An outcast transport that apears to have suffered an autopilot failure. The cargo compartment contains a unique mini-lab that appears to be infusing terraforming gas with Cardamine. The gas canisters are marked "California Minor".

    Contains:

    Ponferrada - D-4

Remains of Ponferrada, an Outcast smuggler who was pursued and chased out of the Barrier Nebula by Crayter forces. The smuggler tried to make a run for the Caminha comet nearby, hoping to lose the attackers behind it, but its engines incinerated under enemy fire, and the ship spiraled into the comet's orbit. Having effectively killed off the ship's crew for good, the Crayter forces retreated before potential Outcast reinforcements could show up.

    Contains:

    Hopper - G-2

Wreck of the Hopper, a vessel belonging to Dean Hopper, an esteemed explorer. After getting rich from his exploration endeavors in the Taus, he retired early on Curacao.

However, he realized that spending the rest of his days indulging on an island was too tame an end for his energetic temperament. He decided to venture towards the edges of Coronado to rekindle his spark one last time. He likely met his demise by hitting an asteroid and becoming stranded.

It is debated whether Hopper suffocated or starved to death.
